ST PATRICK PRIMARY SCHOOL IHUONYIA CITY WITNESSES MASSIVE GROWTH AFTER COMMUNITY OUTREACH

The story of Ihuonyia City School is one of faith, vision, and community impact.

When the new leadership took over the administration of Ihuonyia City Autonomous Community in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State, the situation was dire. There were just 65 pupils in the entire school. The population was dwindling, morale was low, and many parents had lost hope in the institution.

Determined to change the narrative, the new administration under the leadership of the community PG, Comr. Obinna Jude Ezeilo, embarked on a massive school outreach program.

The intervention was single-handedly sponsored by Ozo Ikechukwu Anikwe (Ozo Nnanyelugo n' Evee), who provided school uniforms, bags, and stockings to pupils free of charge. This act of generosity removed a major financial burden from parents and sent a strong message to the community: “Every child deserves quality education with dignity.”

Today, by the grace of God, the school population has grown to over 300 pupils. Classrooms that were once empty are now filled with eager learners. Parents who had withdrawn their children are now bringing them back, and new families are enrolling every term according to Ihuonyia City President General, Comr. Obinna Jude Ezeilo (Onyeze)

“To God be the glory,” a school headmistress , Mrs Aniagolu Gladys said. “What God has done in Ihuonyia City School is nothing short of a miracle. We started small, but with the support of Comr. Jude Eze and the kind sponsorship of Ozo Anikwe Ikechukwu (Ozo Nnanyelugo), God has multiplied our efforts.”

In recognition of his contributions to community development and education, Ozo Ikechukwu Anikwe has also been nominated as one of the Awardees for the Ezeagu Achievers Award, 8th Edition

The school now stands as a shining example of what is possible when community leadership and philanthropy come together for the good of children.

SON OF THE SOIL DELIVERS: ENGR KELVIN NDUAGUBA SINGLE-HANDEDLY GRADED UGWU OKUNITO ROAD IN IHUONYIA CITY
.....4th Edition Ezeagu Achievers Awardee 2023 Shows What Development With Impact Looks Like.......

IHUONYIA CITY, EZEAGU LGA – There is joy among residents and road users of Ihuonyia City following the grading of the Ugwu Okunito Road.

The road project, which was in a deplorable state for years, has been single-handedly sponsored and executed by Engr. Kelvin Nduaguba, a proud son of Ihuonyia and a distinguished indigene of Ezeagu LGA.

This selfless act of service has eased transportation, boosted business activities, and restored dignity to commuters who ply the route daily.

Engr. Kelvin Nduaguba is not new to giving back. He was honoured as one of the 4th Edition Ezeagu Achievers Award Recipients in 2023 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to community development and humanitarian service. Today’s intervention on Ugwu Okunito Road is yet another proof that the award was well deserved.

Speaking on the development, community members expressed gratitude to God and to Engr. Nduaguba for remembering home and investing in the welfare of the people.

“This is what we call leadership. This is what we mean by a son of the soil. May God bless Engr. Kelvin Nduaguba for us,” residents chorused.

The intervention aligns with the vision of the Ezeagu Achievers Award where leaders are measured not by words, but by verifiable projects that touch lives.

The people of Ihuonyia City in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State remain grateful and pray for God’s continued blessings, protection, and upliftment upon Engr. Kelvin Nduaguba and his household.
