The Parable of the Search for Fate

Long, long ago, a large library burned down, and only one manuscript survived. For many years, it lay in the depths of a bookshop, and no one paid any attention to it. Until one day, the shop owner changed…

He sorted through scrolls, books, manuscripts and got rid of what was not needed. He threw away the old manuscript, and it ended up in the hands of a random passerby - a beggar. He was going to burn it to warm up, but before that, he was interested in what was written in it.

And this is what was written in the manuscript: "The person who finds a hot stone on the seashore will achieve everything they dream of in life." The beggar decided that he had nothing to lose and set off to the sea. He lifted one stone after another, but they were cold, and the man threw them into the waves. So the days, weeks, months, years went by…

And one day, the beggar's hand touched a hot stone… He picked it up and… as usual, threw it into the sea.

Our lives are like the seashore, we search for our fate day after day.

But often we, having found what we have been looking for so long, do not even suspect it, because we are used to throwing it away, not realizing its value.

Therefore, it is important to carefully examine what we have in our hands, and not be afraid to pick up the hot stones, because they can change our lives for the better.

What are you looking for?

One old and very wise man said to his friend:

"Take a good look at the room we are in and try to remember the brown things."

There were many brown things in the room, and the friend quickly completed this task. But the wise Chinese man asked him the following question:

"Now close your eyes and enumerate all the blue things."

The friend was at a loss and became angry:

"I didn't notice anything blue, because I was only remembering the brown things!"

To which the wise man replied:

"Open your eyes and look around – there are many blue things in the room."

And this was the pure truth.

Then the old man continued:

"If you are only looking for brown things in the room, and only looking for bad things in life, then you will only see them, notice only them, and only they will be remembered by you and participate in your life.
Remember: if you are looking for bad things, you will inevitably find them and not notice anything good."

Don't lose your good heart

Once, an old man saw a snake dying in the fire and decided to pull it out. When he did, the snake bit him, causing unbearable pain. He threw the snake away and it fell back into the fire. Then the old man grabbed a metal rod, pulled the snake out of the flames and saved its life.

One of the students who watched this, respectfully turned to him: "Father, this snake bit you, why are you still trying to save her?"

The old man replied: "The nature of reptiles is to bite, but this should not change my nature - to help."

Do not change your essence just because someone has hurt you. Do not lose your good heart, but learn to take precautions.
