LESSON: ONE
DATE: SUNDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER 2025
TOPIC: THE OMNIFICENT GOD
SUNDAY SCHOOL HYMN
1. O Sunday School, on the Lord's day,
O how I love Thee well,
I am happy, it makes me glad
To rejoice at Thy birth.
2. O Sunday School, on the Lord's day,
Thy friendship suits me well,
Both young and old will sing Thy song,
We long for Sunday School.
3. O Sunday School, on the Lord's day,
Christ was Thy first teacher,
The Holy Spirit, great teacher,
Does manifest in thee.
4. O Sunday School, on the Lord's day,
This testimony is sure,
That God, the Father Almighty,
Poured His blessing on Thee
5. O Sunday School, on the Lord's day,
Though the sun be so bright,
Or if the clouds be black with rain,
I'll be in Sunday School.
6. O Sunday School, on the Lord's day
I rejoice to see Thee,
Will thou pass over me today?
Without my being blest?
MEMORY VERSE: "O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches". – Psalm 104:24
BIBLE PASSAGE: Colossians 1:16-17
[16] for by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
[17] and he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
INTRODUCTION
The word “omnificence” is defined as the ability to create all things. Omnificence rightly describes God’s unlimited power to create all things, as noted in the Bible’s first verse: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). In Colossians 1:16-17, God is affirmed as the Creator of all things. Although God is the Creator of all, He has also given man a measure of His creative ability.
