CP: No Sit at Home in Delta State, Assures Residents of their Safety.

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Muhammed Ali, has declared that there is no “sit at home order” in the State and has admonished members of the public particularly residents of Asaba and the entire Delta North district to remain vigilant, monitor and report any strange and suspicious movements or persons in their neighborhood to the Command or other law enforcement agencies.

The CP made this declaration through the instrumentality of a press release dated 8th May, 2022 and signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edade made available to the press.

DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND ASSURES RESIDENTS OF THEIR SAFETY AND URGES THEM TO GO ABOUT THEIR LAWFUL BUSINESS(ES)

The attention of Delta State Police Command has been drawn to a Facebook post by some faceless individuals with the caption “Unknown gunmen Asaba Delta State sends strong message”, in which Asaba residents are warned to observe the “Sit at home order” as declared by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

For the purpose of clarity, the Delta State Commissioner of Police CP Ari Muhammed Ali, FCIA, psc+, has declared that there is no “sit at home order” in the State. He assures residents of their safety and urges them to go about their lawful business(es) as the Command is willing and able to deal decisively with anyone or group of persons who try to cause any form of trouble in the State. He admonishes members of the public particularly residents of Asaba and the entire Delta North district to remain vigilant, monitor and report any strange and suspicious movements or persons in their neighborhood to the Command or other law enforcement agencies.

Meanwhile, the CP in his determination to maintain the existing peace in the State, has placed officers and men of the Command on red alert and urged them to remain watchful and deal decisively with anyone or group of persons attempting to cause any form of mayhem in the State. He has further directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations, Area Commanders, DPOS, and Tactical Commanders to maintain Police visibility across the length and breadth of the State and emplace measures that will make the State uncomfortable and uninhabitable for any group of hoodlums.

Massive Police deployment for Easter Celebrations in Delta.

Festive periods as always is a joyful moment, one too joyful that people tend to lower their guard over this period of time while a host of others see this as an opportunity to loot and re-loot amongst other social vices in different capacities.

It is in this view, to curb crime below the nearest minimum cm supervision of personnel deployed and by this means raise the bar on security further up, that the delta state police "has ordered massive deployment of Personnel across the state to provide adequate security before, during, and after easter celebration to ensure protection of all residents in the State and the successes of all activities lined up to mark the celebration."

This information was revealed by the Delta State Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe through a press release signed by himself and dated 14th April, 2022, which reads that "The CP directed that all Area Commanders and DPOS to deploy men to all venues of the Celebrations and other resorts centres, to avoid mischief makers showing their ugly faces and causing any form of mayhem to law abiding citizens and also to ensure proper supervision of their men deployed."

DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND DEPLOY MASSIVELY ACROSS THE STATE , ASSURES RESIDENTS OF ADEQUATE SECURITY AS CHRISTAINS CELEBRATES EASTER

The Commissioner of Police Delta State CP Ari Muhammed Ali FCIA, PSC+, has assured Deltans of a hitch free Easter celebration. Consequently, the Commissioner of Police has ordered massive deployment of Personnel across the state to provide adequate security before, during, and after easter celebration to ensure protection of all residents in the State and the successes of all activities lined up to mark the celebration. The CP directed that all Area Commanders and DPOS to deploy men to all venues of the Celebrations and other resorts centres, to avoid mischief makers showing their ugly faces and causing any form of mayhem to law abiding citizens and also to ensure proper supervision of their men deployed. In addition to the personnel deployed from Area Commands and Divisions, additional deployments have been drawn from Dragon Patrol, safer highways, Quick Response Squad, Rapid Response squad, Eagle-net special squad, Crack Squad, Special Anti-Kidnapping and Cyber Crime squad.

The CP urges members of the public to be law abiding and continue to support the police in the fight against crime and criminality while assuring them of the Command’s commitment in provision of security, maintenance of law and order, protection of life and property among other duties in the State.

The CP on behalf of officers and men of Command wishes Deltans and Nigerians in general, a hitch free Easter celebration.

Imposter parading as Delta CP on Fake Facebook handle.
The attention of Delta State Police Command has been drawn to a fake Facebook handle created by a mischievous person parading himself as CP Ari Muhammed Ali FCIA, psc+ and has been using the fake account to defraud unsuspecting innocent citizens.

This was contained in a press release dated 28th February, 2022 as signed by the delta police command Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe who hinted that "measures have been put in place with a view to arresting this impostor and to ensure that he is brought to book."

The attention of Delta State Police Command has been drawn to a fake Facebook handle created by a mischievous person parading himself as CP Ari Muhammed Ali FCIA, psc+ and has been using the fake account to defraud unsuspecting innocent citizens. The fraudster has reached out to some people via the Facebook handle displaying some pictures of the CP in m***i and in Police uniform with the username Muhammad Ali Ari. He further stated that the CP graduated from UNIJOS which is not true. He is using the account to fraudulently solicit for financial assistance from members of the public who have been deceived to believe that they are chatting with the CP.

The CP is using this medium to inform the general public to disregard any request or message from this Facebook handle, as it is the handiwork of a criminal element parading himself as the CP with intent to defraud. The CP assures members of the public that measures have been put in place with a view to arresting this impostor and to ensure that he is brought to book.
