EGUAVOEN APPOINTED INTERIM SUPER FALCONS COACH

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical Director, Austine Eguavoen, has been appointed interim head coach of the Super Falcons ahead of the 2028 Olympic Games qualifiers.

Eguavoen takes charge following the dismissal of former coach Justin Madugu and will be assisted by Christopher Danjuma, who previously managed the Falconets and Former Super Falcons defender and now coach, Ayisat Yusuf

The Super Falcons will face Comoros in the second round of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic qualifiers, with both legs scheduled for October 9 and 13, 2026, at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne.

Nigeria received a bye into the second round, while Comoros advanced after defeating Sudan 30-0 on aggregate.
