My friend begged me not to date him…
I met him on campus.
Calm, quiet, respectful.
Everything I wanted.
But my friend didn’t like him at all.
She kept telling me,
‘There’s something wrong with him.’
I asked her what she meant.
She couldn’t explain.
Just kept saying,
‘You’ll understand later.’
I ignored her.
The relationship was going fine.
Until one night.
He came over to my place.
Everything was normal.
We talked, laughed, even watched a movie.
But at some point, I noticed something strange.
He never blinked.
At first, I thought I was overthinking.
So I started paying attention.
Minutes passed…
Still nothing.
Not once.
My chest started to feel tight.
I asked him if he was okay.
He smiled and said yes.
But that smile felt… off.
Like he was forcing it.
Then my phone rang.
It was that same friend.
I picked immediately.
She sounded scared.
‘Are you with him right now?’
I said yes.
She went quiet.
Then she said,
‘Don’t let him know I called you… just look at his reflection.’
My heart dropped.
I slowly turned my head towards the TV screen.
It was off.
So I could see our reflection clearly.
I saw myself.
Sitting on the bed.
Holding my phone.
But where he was supposed to be…
There was nothing.
I froze.
My body refused to move.
Then slowly…
I turned back to look at him.
He was already staring at me.
Smiling.
This time… he blinked.
And said,
‘She noticed, didn’t she?’ 😭🔥
