Some Nigerians will never admit it, but since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu came into office, difficult decisions have been taken that previous governments avoided for years because they were afraid of losing popularity.

You may not like Tinubu, but you cannot deny that this administration has confronted issues that were draining Nigeria silently.

Fuel subsidy removal stopped the country from bleeding trillions of naira yearly into a system filled with corruption and smuggling. For years, Nigeria was borrowing money to subsidize fuel for neighboring countries.
State governments are now receiving significantly higher allocations from FAAC, giving governors more money to develop their states. The real question is: what are governors doing with the money?
Massive student loan initiative introduced so children from poor homes can access tertiary education without financial pressure.
Efforts to stabilize the naira and reform the forex market instead of artificially manipulating the exchange rate.
Increase in minimum wage discussions and social intervention programs despite economic pressure.
Renewed push for local refining with support around the Dangote Refinery era, aiming to reduce dependence on imported fuel.
Increased focus on infrastructure, digital economy, agriculture, and attracting foreign investments.
Security agencies recording major operations against bandits, kidnappers, and oil theft networks across different regions.
Local government autonomy conversation gaining serious national attention under this administration.
Nigeria is gradually shifting from a consumption economy to a production focused economy, though the transition is painful.

Many Africans expect a president to perform magic in 2 years while ignoring the damage caused by decades of corruption, bad governance, tribal politics, voter compromise, tax evasion, and citizens destroying public property.

A nation is not built by the president alone.

Citizens who bribe police, sell votes, support corruption when their tribe is involved, refuse to pay taxes, destroy government facilities, and spread hate online also contribute to national failure.

Truth is bitter:
Most Nigerians want change, but many do not want the discipline, sacrifice, and responsibility that real change requires.

No president is perfect. Criticism is normal in democracy. But constantly insulting leadership while refusing to play our own role will never build Nigeria.

If China, Singapore, UAE, and Rwanda transformed, it happened because government and citizens both aligned toward national progress.

Nigeria will rise the day Nigerians stop thinking only about “what government owes me” and start asking “what can I contribute to Nigeria?”

One of the most impactful healthcare interventions many Nigerians don't know about is happening right inside our Primary Healthcare Centres.

Many pregnant women in the FCT receive antenatal care, maternal healthcare services, and childbirth support at highly subsidized rates through government-supported Primary Healthcare Centres. In other states in Nigeria, the service is absolutely free.

For many families, the cost of registration, antenatal care, and delivery at a PHC is only a fraction of what they would pay in private hospitals.

In addition, the FCT Administration has expanded maternal health programs, provided free health insurance to vulnerable pregnant women, distributed delivery kits, and strengthened efforts to ensure every woman delivers under the care of skilled health professionals. This is part of the broader effort to reduce maternal and infant mortality in Nigeria. 🇳🇬

As a parent, I personally experienced this benefit with the birth of my three children in the FCT. What would have cost hundreds of thousands of naira in some private facilities was available at a highly affordable cost through the public healthcare system.

Yet many Nigerians don't know these services exist.

The question is:

How many lives can be saved when citizens know where affordable healthcare is available?

Good policies matter.
Accessible healthcare matters.
Awareness matters.
