The Misunderstood Job Interview
Characters:
1. Khalid:The interviewee
2. Mr. Johnson:The interviewer
Scene: A job interview in an office.
Khalid walks into the office and sits down nervously.
Mr. Johnson:Welcome, Kamal. Let's start with a simple question. What makes you the best candidate for this job?
Khalid:Well, I have a knack for problem-solving. For example, once I fixed a computer by just turning it off and on again!
Mr. Johnson: (laughs) That's great! Now, can you tell me about a time you had to work under pressure?
Khalid: Sure! There was this one time I had to submit a report by 5 PM. I started it at 4:50 PM, and I still made it!
Mr. Johnson: (chuckles) Impressive time management. So, Kamal, how do you handle conflicts in the workplace?
Khalid: I usually just avoid them. Like when two colleagues were arguing, I pretended to be invisible until they stopped.
Mr. Johnson:(smiling) Interesting strategy. How about teamwork? How do you ensure effective collaboration?
Khalid: Oh, I’m great at delegating tasks. I once delegated my entire project to my team and supervised from a distance… very, very far away.
Mr. Johnson: (laughs) I see. One last question, Kamal. Why do you want to work here?
Khalid:Honestly, I heard the coffee here is amazing. Plus, I needed a new place to tell my jokes.
Mr. Johnson:(laughing) Well, Kamal, you certainly know how to leave an impression. We’ll be in touch!
Khalid stands up, shakes hands with Mr. Johnson, and exits confidently. As soon as the door closes, Khalid celebrates with a little victory dance.
Khalid:(to himself) Nailed it!
