What it means to be grateful!!

To be grateful is not to have every aspect of your life in perfect harmony

It is to find rhythm even in disjointed symphonies.

It is not be cheerful always

It is to find comfort that even in sadness God is with you always.

It is not to live a life measured only by abundance

But to trust that even in lack and want there's a God who will never fall short of His providence

To be truly grateful is to realize that it is not what happens to us that counts but what happens in us.

And we can only be truly grateful when we live in the now, letting go of the past and cutting ties with the worries of the future.

There's a thing with this beautiful game which makes the game all the more beautiful and that is its unpredictability.

You can't really tell how it's going to end, you just prepare strategies and set targets and then you give room to chance praying and hoping that the tides swings your way.

But what happens when it doesn't go the way you want it? Do you throw in the towel, pack your bags and quit?
Nope!
In this beautiful game we lose and we win and when we do lose which by divine providence we must, we keep going.

We don't quit, hurt sometimes we keep going.
Tired sometimes we keep going.
Injured sometimes we keep going.

The beauty in this game is the adrenaline that forces resilience to keep going until we win and even when we do win which by divine providence we must. We keep going!

I've always wondered what it means to be "Self-aware"

The whole idea seemed abstract to me at first. I thought c'mon we're all aware of ourselves, we can think for ourselves and so we own our opinions.
I could say I am self-aware because I see my exterior and know when I'm happy, sad or in need of a high to maybe feel alive a bit.

But the past few months have opened me up in such a way where my idea of self-awareness has been proven to be shallow.

There's a depth to this thing.
I am not self-aware because of my exterior but rather my interior.
It is what happens in the invisible part of me that controls the visible part of me. Hence the need to look within me to be aware of what's going on within me.

To be self-aware is to take time off and find the source of your opinions and to ensure they are not the opinions garnered from social media or your socio-cultural construct.

To be self-aware is to find your true source of joy and happiness and to ensure they're not pleasures derived from temporary highs like w**d, alcohol, drugs or s*x.

To be self-aware is to truly think for yourself and be master of your own thoughts and actions and not be driven by emotions that change with every second.

To be self-aware is to understand that bitterness, anger, strife and envy do more harm to you than to the person they are directed towards.

To be self-aware is to find you, the real you and amazing things begin to happen when you do.

There's something about you that is not common with anyone else.
Maybe it's how you carry your body, or how you smile
Maybe it's your mind, how you think, how you understand and process information.

Maybe it's how you care, and wouldn't let anything slip by you.
Cautious about everything and everyone around you, even pets feel the warmth of your kindness.

Or maybe it's just how you listen, you just pay attention to the minutest of detail.

Or maybe it's just how you love genuinely and completely, your love is so contagious everyone around you feels it and your aura is peace.

Whatever it is, dig deep and find it and pour your colors in all it's variants to the world.
