It took Izzy 13years to get over her imposter syndrome but I’ll show you how to, in 45 seconds.
Disclaimer: imposter syndrome won’t go away overnight but I used Izzy’s tips, so I’m sure it won’t take you 13years😉
Tips:
1. Remember YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Your feelings are valid, alot of successful people feel this way too, some might say its one of the obstacles on the path to success.
2. VISUALIZE your accomplishments: Focus on your strengths, surround yourself with memorabilia of what a champ you are. ACKNOWLEDGE & CELEBRATE YOUR WINS.
3. Speak highly of yourself TO YOURSELF: remind yourself of how talented you are, how much you’ve grown in your field and as a person, you’ve done it before and you’ll do it again! besides its not bragging if its true 😉
4. AIM HIGHER: Strive for greater, do it afraid but you must always encourage yourself to try new things. the more you conquer, doubles up your ego.
5. Offer Mentorship: don’t navigate the climb to success alone. As a mentor you highlight their strengths as well as guide them through solutions, it rewires your brain to adopt the same outlook on yourself. + mentees gas you up so win win!
6. Rinse & Repeat.
It’s no walk in the park and I understand there might not be time to deal with emotions as you chase the bag, however these tips are tested and trusted to help you end things with imposter syndrome and flourish. one at a time or all at once, would you be trying these steps? Do you find them helpful?
PS: on the days the voices are too loud, I hope you remember to breathe and say out loud “feeling like an imposter doesn’t make me one”
I’m not a confidence coach, just a confident person who’s rooting for you on your journey to elevating your life.
Cheers,
Dez.
