PRODUCTIVITY AND NUTRITION.

Nutrition is an important part of living a healthy lifestyle.

While regular physical activity and good night's sleep are important for productivity, nutrition is as crucial if not more.

Let's take a look at some habits to adopt to boost productivity.

1 - Avoid drinking alcohol to have more quality sleep and recovery.

2 - Consume enough fiber. Since fiber is metabolized more slowly, energy levels will remain stabile and steady throughout the day.

3 - Eat whole grains for the same reason as above. Takes longer to digest, allowing your energy to be more steadily spread out through your day.

4 - Eat small frequent meals versus large meals.

5 - Make sure you eat breakfast to help your body transition better from a sleepy state to an awake/daytime state.

6 - Do not consume too much caffeine as this will make you crash afterwards. Its better to consume it in moderate/smaller quantities.

7 - Skip the junk food. Trans fats and saturated fats will make you feel weak and lazy.

8 - Stay hydrated. Dehydration may give you a feeling of hunger and sleepiness. Water also helps facilitate nutrient transportation throughout the body.

Contrary to the belief that alcohol (like schnapps and whisky) helps burn belly fat, it actually DOES Not. Spirits contain much less calories, about 40 - 60% less calories than beer. This is only good for people who are trying to balance drinking and fitness. For those who dont drink, its a bad idea to take spirits for weightloss. however, in place of drinking to lose weight, u should up ur body's metabolic rate (amount of energy in form of calories the body needs daily) the higher ur metabolism, the faster your body burns fat, d lower ur metabolic rate, the more your body's ability to store and retain fat. These are some of d ways u can increase ur metabolism rate:
1) *Excercise regularly*- as u get older, your body's metabolic rate slows down. D effect is seen all over the body especially on d face. Exercising at least 4 times a week will help keep ur body burning fat throughout the rest of d week.
2) *Strength training* - A head-to-toe strength routine will super-charge your calorie-blasting quotient. Add five pounds of muscle to your body and you can zap as many as 600 calories an hour during your workout.
3) *EAT* - going too long without eating or even skipping a meal will slow down your metabolism. Your body switches into starvation mode and your system slows down to conserve energy.
4) *Dont skip breakfast* -

It will switch your metabolism from idle to high speed. That's because your level of cortisol, a hormone that helps u use calories to build muscle, is highest just before you get up in the morning β€” the only time during the day this happens.

Other ways include, avoid sitting down for too long, going to bed early and having a cup of green tea after a meal.
Increasing your metabolic rate will leave u with younger and fresher skin and ability to carryout activities effectively throughout the rest of the day.
