*THE NGAS YOUTH MOVEMENT (NYM) GLOBAL CALLS FOR CALM AMIDST CALLS FOR THE SUSPENSION OF PUSDUNG 2026*

The Ngas Youth Movement (NYM) Global calls for calm amidst calls for the suspension of Pusdung festival 2026.

The suspension of the Pusdung 2026 which was announced by the media aid to his Majesty, Nde Ngolong Ngas on 20th April 2026, on security grounds, was received as a shock by the NYM considering the fact that the week long event which had commenced on 19th April 2026 has been peaceful and successful.

As vanguard of the Ngas Nation, to the best of our knowledge and understanding and in consultation with our hunters ( Ngo Kwat mwa) and the conventional security apparatuses, there is no eminent security threat that poses danger to the event which has already commenced in earnest and successfully. We have equally not received any security report from the State Governor who is the Chief Security Officer of the State in that regard.

Even though the movement is aware of the insecurity in Plateau State and the Nation at large, we will not succumb to the spirit of fear and intimidation which is the tool utilized by the enemies of peace and security.

We also want to assure the various communities in Plateau State affected by insecurity that we are in this together and we will definitely come out of this very strong and resilient. Together we will defeat the enemies of peace in Plateau State.

We want to assure the public that we will consult with our Royal father, His Majesty, the Ngolong Ngas, to ascertain the security threat at hand that warrants the suspension of the week long event which has already kick started peacefully and successfully.

We therefore call for calm and continuation of the event as planned pending the outcome of our consultation with his Majesty, the Ngolong Ngas.

All hands are already on deck to guarantee the security of lives and properties during the week long event of Pusdung 2026.
