The Heritage Awards Initiative proudly congratulates Nde Engr. Gonen GOFWEN a retured Manager, Refineries & Turn Around Maintenance, Engineering Division, NNPCL and
Immediate Past President, Ngas Development Association (NDA) Global on this distinguished recognition for his leadership, community mobilisation and enduring contribution to the development of the Ngas Nation.

At every point of leadership, his story has been defined by a commitment to mobilising people, resources and institutions towards a common purpose. His tenure at the helm of the Ngas Development Association was marked by efforts to strengthen the visibility of the Ngas Nation, bring sons and daughters together and advance conversations around education, culture, economic development and community progress. (View Point Nigeria)

From the establishment of initiatives supporting indigent students to the mobilisation of resources for vulnerable families during the COVID-19 pandemic, documented records of his leadership show an emphasis on turning collective goodwill into practical community support.

Perhaps more importantly, his leadership has reflected an understanding that the preservation of a people requires institutions. Through cultural platforms such as PUSDUNG, development initiatives and efforts to strengthen the visibility and organisation of the Ngas community, he contributed to building structures through which our collective identity, heritage and aspirations could continue to find expression.

Today, we celebrate Nde Engr. Gonen Gofwen not only for the offices he has occupied, but for the people he has mobilised, the institutions he has strengthened and the heritage he has helped preserve.

Your journey reminds us that leadership is not merely about occupying a position; it is about leaving behind a stronger community, stronger institutions and a legacy capable of serving generations yet unborn.

Congratulations, Nde Engr. Gonen Gofwen, on this distinguished and well-deserved honour.

Congratulations Nde Fukatda, the immediate past NDA Chairman, Abuja Recipient, Heritage Community Leadership Impact Award.

His story is one of pure determination, resilience and the courage to break limitations that would have broken many young Ngas Men. Coming from a remote background and raised in circumstances of obvious poverty where the value and possibilities of education were not fully appreciated, his journey was transformed through the counsel, guidance and support of spirited individuals who believed in the power of education.

He embraced that opportunity, defied the limitations of his beginnings and rose through education, professional development and community leadership to leave marks and lasting legacies wherever he served.

His journey also reflects a wider Ngas story—_a people whose sons and daughters have crossed borders, established themselves in the diaspora and continue to create a ripple of knowledge, connections, opportunities and impact back to their roots._

The Heritage Awards Initiative celebrates Nde Fukatda Tenwa as a worthy custodian of determination, resilience, education, leadership, service and community responsibility.

His life reminds us that where we begin does not define how far we can go; what matters is what we do with the opportunity to rise—and what we give back when we do.
