Priscilla Rautha Tanko, professionally known as Shemmy, is a Nigerian filmmaker, actress, producer, director, cinematographer, licensed drone pilot, and creative media trainer based in Abuja, Nigeria. She is recognized as one of Nigeria’s pioneering female drone pilots in the film industry and has built a reputation for combining cinematic storytelling with innovative aerial cinematography. Early Life and Education
Priscilla attended Stephen Center International Schools, Aregbe, Abeokuta, Ogun State, where she completed her primary and secondary education. She later proceeded to Kaduna Polytechnic, where she obtained a National Diploma (ND) in Public Administration.
Driven by her passion for filmmaking, she further pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Film Production, graduating with Second Class Honours. Her academic background, combined with years of practical experience, has equipped her with strong technical and creative expertise across various aspects of film production.
Career
Shemmy began her career in the Nigerian film industry as an actress, making her screen debut in the television drama series The Chambers, which aired on African Independent Television (AIT). Her impressive performance opened doors to numerous acting opportunities in both supporting and lead roles.
