NYCN ELECTION: The contest for the presidency of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has taken a decisive turn as three of the five contenders officially stepped down from the race.

The election will now be a two-man contest between Comrade Isah Onimisi Babangida from Kogi State and Engineer Ahmad Rufai Abubakar, popularly known as Khalifah, from Kebbi State.

Nigerian Kogi born artist and social advocate, Llona, has taken to social media to share a heartfelt message about his personal commitment to community development and nation building.

In his post, Llona revealed that during the shooting of his Cold War music video in November 2024, he discovered that the host community relied solely on a hand pump as their only source of water. Moved by the experience, he decided to personally fund and construct a borehole for the residents, a project he described as one built with his "sweat."

The artist used the moment to call for sincerity and sacrifice in discussions surrounding the vision for a “Better Nigeria.” He urged that such conversations should be led by individuals who have made tangible contributions to the nation’s growth, adding, “If you have not done anything or sacrificed anything for our Nigeria, please don’t even join the conversation, God bless Nigeria,” he said.
