Congratulations to Silent Achiver on your one year in Office as Governor - Lanre Ariyibi

Congratulations to our beloved governor, Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun MFR on the privilege to celebrate one year in office as executive governor of Ogun State.

Exactly 365 days ago, on the 29th of May , 2019 you were sworn-in as the Fifth Executive Governor of the Ogun State, as a result of confirming the mandate the people entrusted into your hands as the governor.

In the 365 days that has passed, the many laudable projects you have started and completed is a proof of the style of leadership you portray to the people.

You started with IGBEGA IPINLE OGUN AJUMOSE WA NI and through God's grace you have been able to keep and sustain these promises.

Despite the initial challenges from the election petition tribunal, to the victories at the appellate and supreme courts, you and our dear *APC* came out strong, a confirmation of the God ordained mandate the people of Ogun had freely bestowed on you during the gubernatorial election of 2019.

To demonstrate your humility, for the first time in the history of the state, you yielded to the will of the people and appointed your cabinet members based on the wishes of the electorates. This is indeed novel.

We thank God that 365 days later, you are still at the helms of affairs and steering the ship of the state to its desired destination.

Mr. Governor, as you mark one year in office today and look to the years ahead, the challenges are great and the responsibilities are be wilding but the power and grace of God upon you is enormous.

Thank you very much Mr. Governor for giving us project that will directly affect masses in positive way

EID AL-FITR CELEBRATION:

Hon. Lanre Ariyibi admonished Muslims faithful all over the world especially in Abeokuta south local government, to use this period to seek for Allah favour and face ALLAH to seek for forgiveness to end the pandemic COVID-19

This is the time for more sober reflection and dedication of everyone to Allah.

Hon. lanre Ariyibi enjoins Muslims to continue to emulate the good deeds, reminds them not to forget the lessons of Ramadan. And put into practise while the fasting lasted and aftermath. Among the teachings were closeness to God, praying time to time, alms or offering giving, brotherhood inclination (love, affection and accommodation) and abstinence from evils and sins.

Let us stay safe and follow the rules in fighting Covid-19 as prescribed by relevant government agencies and health experts.

May Allah continue to protect us and our households.

Chief imam demise, a monumental loss - Hon. Lanre Ariyibi

Lanre Ariyibi Commiserates With Family of Late Chief Imam of Egbaland.

Ariyibi who described the death of the ‎Chief Imam of Egbaland as a big loss to the entire Muslim community in Egbaland and Ogun state at large.

In a condolence message he described Baba as a foremost Islamic Scholar, who was not only well versed in the Quran and the Hadith, but lived all his life as a good Muslim and worthy leader of the faith.

He added that the death of Sheikh Orunsolu is a big loss to the Muslim Ummah in Egbaland as well as the entire state because he preached peace and unity while alive. His preaching at home and the depth of his Islamic scholarship will be missed.

“I received the news of the death of the Chief Imam of Egbaland, Sheikh Orunsolu, which occurred on early hour of today with shock but submission to the will of Allah.

“He was a man of peace who built bridges and reached out to people of other faiths. Sheikh Imam Liadi Orunsola was a honest man who built a reputation for integrity and high service.
‎
Baba served humanity and the Muslim Ummah well. His passage is a great loss which has left a huge void that will be hard to fill.

While praying for the repose of the soul of the late cleric, Ariyibi urged members of various Muslim societies to continue the good works Sheikh Imam Liadi Orunsolu started, adding, “this is the only way to immortalise this pride of Egbaland in particular and Ogun State as a whole.

“He was no doubt a scholar of higher integrity who touched the lives of many Muslims positively.

“I commiserate with the government and the people of Egbaland, particularly the Muslim Ummah and the family of the Orunsolu, home and abroad. I pray that Allah will grant them the fortitude to bear the loss

*Abeokuta Son, Olanrewaju Ariyibi has floated a Non Government Organisation to cater for the needy,and procure JAMB forms for constituency Students*

Since Government can not do it all alone, the goal and focus of the *Lanre Ariyibi foundation* is to assist in eradicating poverty, reducing child's illiteracy and sensitising on proper hygiene in Nigeria.

A graduate of mass communication from the famous The polytechnic lbadan he was born into the family of grassroots politician, Otunba Adesola Ariyibi of Lugbabi compound, lditawa, Ake, Abeokuta south Local Government area of Ogun state.

He had his secondary education@African Church Grammar School in Abeokuta before proceeding to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic for his National Diploma. He got his Higher National Diploma from Ibadan poly before proceeding to Chester University of Pennsylvania in USA to study psychology. He values education and further his study School of Business, linwood, New Jersey USA where he got another Diploma as Physician assistant.

The foundation which has her mother company doing wonderfully well in United State is trying to reciprocate the good benefits for his people back home especially his constituency which recently distributed JAMB form to some students, got them registered, and organized coaching classes for the examination. The leadership of Abeokuta south local government, headed by Hon Somide Ayomide and Alhaji Nurudeen Ayorinde who is Secretary to Transition chairman of Abeokuta LG were aware of his laudable gesture in the community.

The philanthropist believes that education is the only vehicle to close the gap between the rich and the poor hence his focus on the development of the youth and the less privileged

According to him the gesture is his contribution to the Egba tradition of education as the best legacy for a child.
