Ah, those were the sweet old days when rain meant pure joy, not something to run away from! 🌧️
The moment the sky turned dark and the wind started blowing, we children would already be waiting outside, shouting, “Rain is coming!” The first drop that touched the ground was our signal — we’d all rush out, barefoot, laughing and jumping like we owned the world. Nobody cared about getting wet; in fact, the wetter you were, the happier you felt!
We splashed water everywhere, made “rivers” with our feet, and built tiny boats from leaves to race in the puddles. Someone would always start a dance competition, turning the muddy ground into a dance floor. Even the shy ones couldn’t resist joining when we sang, “Rain rain, go away!” but secretly hoped it would never stop.
Our mothers would shout from the house, “You children will catch cold o!” — but we never listened. The rain was our playground, and no warning could stop us. By the time the rain ended, our clothes were soaked, our teeth were chattering, but our hearts were full of laughter.
Those rainy days were more than just fun — they were the best kind of freedom, the kind only childhood could give. ☔❤️
