🚨 Current choir status:
“We’ve rehearsed for months… and somehow the concert is NEXT WEEK?!” 😳🎶😂

Haydn’s Nelson Mass is almost here — the notes are learned(ish), the orchestra is ready, Ruben still has hair left, and the choir is entering that very special stage known as controlled musical panic. 🤣🎼

The final rehearsals are in full swing, the orchestra is sounding incredible, the choir is giving it everything, and the excitement is building with every rehearsal! 🤩

In just a few days, nearly 90 voices, the Namibian National Symphony Orchestra, talented young musicians from YONA, outstanding soloists, and conductor Ruben Viertel will come together to perform one of the greatest masterpieces ever written.

Cantare Audire is thrilled to announce our upcoming production of Joseph Haydn’s Missa in Angustiis (Nelson Mass). We are joining forces with the Namibian National Symphony Orchestra (NNSO) under the baton of Ruben Viertel to bring this dramatic and virtuosic masterpiece to life in Windhoek in the National Theatre of Namibia.

We are currently inviting choir singers to join us for this project.

Rehearsal Schedule:
Rehearsals are every Tuesday night from 18h30 and we’re starting on Tuesday, 2 June 2026
(A detailed schedule will be provided to members that join)

Who are we looking for?
The Chorus:
We are looking for experienced singers (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) to augment the choir.
Requirement: Ability to read music is highly recommended. You must be able to commit to at least 80% of the rehearsal schedule.
