For Immediate Release

Acapella Festival Namibia Mourns the Passing of Director Liezel Mbile Mainga

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Director, Liezel Mbile Mainga, a visionary leader, a passionate creative, and a true pillar of the Acapella Festival Namibia (Accafest) family.

Liezel was more than a director to us. She was family. She carried a heart for people, for music, and for purpose. Through her leadership and dedication, she helped build a platform that gave young people a voice, created opportunities, and brought light into so many lives.

Her presence was felt in every detail, every stage, and every moment of the festival. She believed deeply in the power of music to unite, uplift, and transform. She lived that out fully.

As a team, we are deeply grateful for the time, love, and vision she poured into Accafest. Her legacy will continue to live on through every voice raised, every dream pursued, and every life that was touched because she said yes to this calling.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. This is a great loss, not only to us as a team, but also to the creative and youth community at large.

“Her voice may be silent, but her impact will echo forever.”
