The Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport is a version of the Chiron hypercar that focuses on handling and agility. It maintains the same W16 quad-turbo 8.0-liter engine, producing about 1,500 PS, with a top speed of 350 km/h. This version emphasizes cornering, responsiveness, and driver feedback over sheer top speed.
The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento is a lightweight, limited-edition track car that is not road-legal in many places. It features a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine from the Gallardo, generating approximately 570 PS and around 540 Nm of torque. Its weight is impressively low at about 999 kg, thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber in nearly every part, including the body, chassis, suspension, and wheels. This low weight allows for strong performance in acceleration and especially in cornering agility. Lamborghini claims a 0-100 km/h time of around 2.5 seconds.
How they compare and their trade-offs
On a racetrack or winding road, the Sesto Elemento likely feels more nimble and responsive. It has less inertia to overcome and handles tight corners better because of its low weight.
The Chiron Pur Sport, while significantly heavier, offers much more power and torque. It provides a strong presence, grand touring comfort to some extent, and usable performance at high speeds. On open stretches, where you can take full advantage of its power, the Chiron clearly outperforms the Sesto.
