Twelve Chili Rasboras look like a school. Eight or fewer, and you’re watching stressed fish hide their real colors from you. This species was pulled from peat swamps so acidic most fish can’t survive there, which is exactly why a smaller group never relaxes enough to show its full chili-red. Most keepers blame dull color on water chemistry, but the tank size and headcount matter just as much. Half the “faded” Chili Rasboras online are just lonely.
