Sruthilaya Music Academy marked its journey on 5 March 2005 at ArulyogaAsharam ,Skudai, Johor with a total of 11 students. Since then, the Academy has been active in spreading music knowledge and thereafter successfully registered with SSM sometime in year 2007. Since its inception, the number or Carnatic vocal students have increased to 40 pupils. Following the above, the Academy has a history of creating a logo by the Academy students. This surely shows the dedication and innovation of students towards the Academy and the art form. The logo was carefully chosen with its depth meaning as below: Sruthilaya Music Academy is represented by a Blooming Lotus in which lies a Tambura. The musical notes across the Tambura signify the Art of Indian Classical music in its purest form. The illuminated Tambura represents Knowledge (in Music) being spread. This academy is proud to share the beauty grandeur of this ancient Indian art form. As the Academy began to spread widely and to cater a big number of vocal students, the academy was relocated to a double story shop house which was carefully designed and renovated. Sruthilaya then stands with pride with over 105 students at a conveniently located strategic place. Now with that standing , the Academy has never failed to provide facilities and came out with a systematic learning system to accommodate its student’s needs. Apart from that, syllabus system was introduced and internal exams were held to monitor the students’ progress. Report card was implemented to record the students’ progress and made available to their individual parents.
