🌿 A note for the Rebel.
18 years of celebrating creativity has taught me one thing: creativity was never meant to fit into a box.

What started as a blog in 2008 slowly became something more- not a place to learn how to create “better,” definitely not about the latest craft supplies, but a space to return to yourself through creative living.

This is not an art class, a studio, or a physical space.

It’s a creative practice, to live an artful life. It is filled with curiosity and exploration for the creatively curious.

If you’ve ever felt like your creativity doesn’t belong- maybe it’s because it was never meant to fit the norm. You are meant to be weirdly, wonderfully creative.

Deeper reflections live beyond this space. More on link in bio.

How to self-heal with art -not talent required.

Struggling with stress, anxiety, or just feeling stuck in your head? 🎨Therapeutic art might be the reset your mind actually needs- and no, you don’t need to be “good at art.”

Here’s what you can try:

✏️ Doodle journaling to ground yourself in the present

🖍️ Adult coloring books as a low-effort active meditation

🤝 Art therapy programs if you want guided, deeper healing

🗓️ Building a weekly art practice for long-term mental & emotional wellness

Making art reduces cortisol, processes emotions, and builds emotional resilience. It’s not a hobby, but a mental & emotional health care. Look it up online for some science data!

Save this carousel and pick ONE thing to try this week 👆

Which one are you starting with or which one has helped you? Drop it in the comments 👇

I spell magick with a ‘k’ because I believe creativity is mystical, and inspiration is guided by Eudaimonia- a divine source that nurtures our creative spirit. Whenever we create, we are fusing energies- our own, the vibrations around us, and a higher power. 🔮✨🌙💫

How to Take Care of Your Creative Magick:

1. See your obstacles and challenges as growth.
2. Own your life story.
3. Recognise your qualities because they have a purpose.
4. Trust your self and your intuition- your voice means something.
5. Recognise abundance- and it's not about money, but recognise that you have support, resources and most of all a roof over your head to keep you safe.
6. Recognise your self-evolution.- yes we are multi-dimensional.
7. Letting go what no longer serves you- things do come and go, and if we practice detachment with discernment, it can help us move forward.

Things to Journal About. ✏️✨📒 Here are some journaling prompts for you based on what I journaled about recently:

• Favourite quote of the week - I spotted a quote on Instagram, saved it in my folder to include in my journal entry.

• What I want to make or create - I listed out the 2 projects that I aim to focus on within my capacity.

• Relationship breakthroughs - Because we are all each other's mirrors. Penned it down for self-reflection and self-inquiry.

• What I am excited about - A self-reminder to remind myself why I wake up everyday, and my purpose in life.

• Creative projects that I am doing - I logged the status of my current projects, and what I need to follow up next to complete it.

Fear has a place in the creative journey. Not to stop us- but to ground us.

Courage is what sustains a creative practice. Fear keeps us aware. Courage helps us move anyway.

I’m learning that building a creative life isn’t about removing fear- it’s about creating with it.

A reminder for anyone on a creative journey 🤍

The path to your creative dream isn’t always linear. I get it, I’ve been there…

Sometimes it looks like pausing.
Sometimes it looks like starting over.
Sometimes it looks like losing your way- just to find what you loved again.

If creativity lives inside you, it doesn’t leave.
It waits. It softens. It returns when you’re ready.

You’re not behind.
You’re not doing it wrong.
You’re on the longer path-
the one that asks you to grow into it.

Save this for the days you feel lost in your creative process.

😌How to Take Care of Your Creative Energy

1. Rest if you are feeling tired.

2. If you don’t feel inspired to create or to craft because you are exhausted, then rest.

3. Don’t fight it. It is only through REST that your creative flow can return.
