During a press briefing, Bangladeshi photographer and activist Shahidul Alam criticized Israeli forces for behaving like “chesra chor” after they seized the possessions of detainees during the interception of Gaza-bound flotilla. He stated that beyond passports, personal belongings were confiscated, leaving many participants without their items. His comments followed his capture, along with other activists, at sea while attempting to break Israel’s naval blockade, during which Israeli forces detained them and took their belongings.
