Introduction Workshop:

Shall We Move?
This dance workshop designed for beginners with zero dance background, throughout this workshop employs tennis balls as a tool to initiate bodily rhythm and explore organic movement. Participants will investigate the body's potential through guided somatic exploration, culminating in the creation of their own original short choreography. No prior experience is required—just curiosity, openness, and a willingness to move.

Shall We Dance?
This intermediate contemporary dance workshop introduces participants to fundamental movement principles, body awareness, and creative expression. Through guided improvisation, floor work, and simple phrase-building, dancers will explore dynamics, space, and musicality in a supportive environment.

工作坊主题：环保敲击工作坊

工作坊简介：本工作坊以生活中常见的回收容器—水桶与饼干罐、作为打击乐器，带领学生透过敲击、节奏与身体简单的律动，体验"环保敲击"的乐趣。活动强调：无需昂贵乐器、就地取材、人人可参与，让学生在动手敲击的过程中，培养节奏感、专注力与团队合作精神，同时建立对物尽其用、减少浪费的环保意识。

整体设计为体验式入门课程，适合零基础学生参与，透过循序渐进的引导，让学生在两小时内从认识乐器、学习基本手法，到最终完成小组合奏与成果展示。

器材与准备事项：
本工作坊最大特色之一，是几乎不需要额外采购昂贵乐器 — 学生只需自备一个水桶与一个空饼干罐即可参与
1. 小学生：塑料水桶 (1个) + 打击工具 (木筷子/小木棒)
2. 中学生：空饼干罐/Milo罐 (1个) + 打击工具 (木筷子/小木棒)

✨【 Introducing Our Music Adjudicator】✨
We are delighted to introduce Morag Yong as one of the esteemed Adjudicator for this year’s festival! Morag was born in Kuching, Malaysia. She entered the Royal College of Music (RCM), London to study piano with Peter Element. After graduating with First Class and also obtaining the ARCM Teaching Diploma, Morag continued at RCM to obtain the Master of Music degree in Performance Studies. Whilst at college, she won numerous prizes including the Marjorie & Arnold Ziff Prize for the most outstanding Graduation Recital. Her education in London has been made possible with the generous support of the Sarawak Foundation, The Countess of Munster Musical Trust and The Charles Napper Trust.

Morag has considerable experience in solo, accompaniment and chamber music performance. Since returning to Kuala Lumpur, she has devoted her time to music education, having taught at Yamaha Academy of Arts & Music, University Malaya and the Institute of Music, UCSI University. Besides teaching privately and conducting masterclasses, she has also been invited to adjudicate in competitions including the Yamaha Piano Prize, Hong Kong Asia Pacific Piano Competition, Malaysian Piano Competition, UCSI University International Piano Festival & Competition, Euroasia Youth Music Festival and Young Artists Music Festival. Morag is also an examiner for ABRSM.

✨【 Introducing Our Dance Adjudicator】✨
We are delighted to introduce James Kan, as one of the esteemed Adjudicator for this year’s festival! James Kan was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His first encounter with dance was at the age of 21 during a training program led by youth dance Malaysia. in 2020, he graduated from Taipei National University of the Arts under the “2017 Taiwan Scholarship", Master of Fine Arts in dance choreography.

He has been invited to perform at some international dance festivals, such as: Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, London, Hong Kong, Australia, China, Seoul, Myanmar, Japan.

His work garnered the merit award in the “2011 Taiwan Creative Dance Competition” and “The Best Choreographer In A Mixed Bill” at the Malaysia 2014 BOH Cameronian Awards, while won the gold medal in the “2012 Taiwan Creative Dance Competition”. was the finalist choreographer in a mentor-mentee dance choreography program — “Dance Escalator” organised by Mydance Alliance, Malaysia.

In 2013, James Kan premiered his 70mins full-length solo performance, entitled to which he was nominated “Best Dancer” for the Malaysia 2014 BOH Cameronian Awards.

本次音乐节的评审之一是拥有卓越舞蹈背景的James Kan，馬來西亞人，畢業於國立臺北藝術大學碩研究所; 主修表演創作。2022年成立CAKE project，積極推廣表演藝術及深化民眾對表演藝術的鑑賞。創作風格深受現代都市文化影響，致力於探索身體在城市中疏離與依賴的狀態，風格炙熱且強烈。

馬來西亞著名編舞者。作品曾受邀到多個國家城市表演交流，曼谷、香港、倫敦、澳洲、中國大陸、馬來西亞、馬尼拉，緬甸、印尼、新加坡、台灣、首爾、日本等。2011年憑《Utopia》舞作榮獲2011年舞躍大地舞蹈創作比賽優選獎；並在隔年憑《Dreams》舞作榮獲2012舞躍大地舞蹈創作比賽年度大獎首獎。

曾獲The BOH Cameronian Arts Awards多項大獎，最佳舞者，最佳編舞者，最佳年度製作。

✨【 Introducing Our Music Adjudicator】✨
We are delighted to introduce Dr. Yu-Chun Liu, soprano, as one of the esteemed Adjudicator for this year’s festival! Dr. Liu earned her Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Music (MM) from Manhattan School of Music, and a Bachelor of Music (BM) from Taipei National University of the Arts. In 2020, Dr. Liu was honored as one of the "New Voices of Bach" by the Taipei Bach Society and performed in their 2021 season. That same year, she was selected to sing the soprano role in St. John Passion with the UMN Chamber Choir. In 2022, she was invited to portray Yan Pang in the premiere of Dr. Yan Pang’s opera One Mother’s Children.

Throughout her career, Dr. Liu has been actively involved in various opera productions, including performances with Opera America in New York under the guidance of Mark Oswald, Michel S. Caldwell, and Songah Beak. She has also benefited from mentorship by the renowned German coloratura soprano Renate Faltin at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg Music Festival. Her notable opera roles include Drusilla in L'incoronazione di Poppea, Second Lady and First/Second Knabe in Die Zauberflöte, Ilia in Idomeneo, Sally in A Hand of Bridge, and the Monkey King in the children’s musical Journey to the West.

Currently, Dr. Liu is an active member of the Vocalists Association and a choir singer with the National Taichung Theater (NTT). She also serves as an assistant professor at Nanhua University and a voice advisor at National Changhua Senior High School and Changhua Arts High School. Additionally, she directs the Choir of Changhua County Physicians Association.

本次音乐节的评审之一是拥有卓越声乐背景的女高音刘昱均博士。她拥有美国明尼苏达大学声乐演唱博士学位（DMA），美国曼哈顿音乐学院声乐演唱硕士学位（MM），以及国立台北艺术大学音乐系学士学位（BM）。刘博士曾在纽约 Operas America 参与演出，师从 MET 著名男中音 Mark Oswald 与 Michael Caldwell，同时在奥地利萨尔茨堡音乐节期间受教于德国著名花腔女高音 Renate Faltin。

2020年，刘博士入选台北巴赫听「巴赫新声」，并于2021年演出。同年，她还获选为 UMN 室内合唱团女高音，演出《圣约翰受难曲》。2022年，她受邀在新锐作曲家 Dr. Yan Pang 的原创歌剧《一位孩子的妈》中饰演重要角色。

旅美期间，刘昱均博士参演多部歌剧作品，包括《波佩雅的加冕》中的杜斯拉、《魔笛》中的第二仕女及第一、二仙童、《依多曼尼奥》中的依莉亚，以及《一局橋牌》中的莎利等。她还曾在儿童音乐剧《西游记》中饰演孙悟空。

目前，刘博士是声乐家协会会员，并为台中歌剧院 NTT 签约合唱团歌手。她现任教于私立南华大学民族音乐学系、国立彰化高中、彰化艺术高中、台中双十国中音乐班，并担任彰化县医师公会合唱团的指导教师。
