Its 28th July - Sunday, Our team wrapped up the three-day Interport tour at the Old Frees’ Association (OFA) an interport event that was nothing short of spectacular. Walking into the venue, we were greeted by familiar faces from the PSC/OFA members, instantly bringing a sense of camaraderie and warmth.

The spread of food and snacks was impressive, and Michael took the spotlight as the bartender of the day, whipping up delicious “roti babi” hot from the oven. We indulged in local delicacies like “Gary's goreng pisang,” Tausiah piah, six-flavor Apum, and Quesadillas....

The atmosphere in the room was electric, reminiscent of a festive celebration, complete with singing and dancing that felt almost like a Chinese wedding celebration where drinks flowing non-stop.

Although RPDYC faced a tough match and lost 12-8 to OFA, the focus quickly shifted back to enjoying the evening. The sumptuous dinner that followed was a highlight, featuring mouthwatering dishes like ayam rendang, kambing, sotong, and fragrant nasi biryani, all of which disappeared from the tables in no time.

To cap off the night, we dove into a karaoke session that had everyone showcasing their vocal talents (or lack thereof!) while sharing plenty of laughs. The combination of good food, great company, and a lively atmosphere made for an unforgettable outing.

Thank you Andy, Alex, James, Michael, Albert (near real-time content creator) and all OFA members for graciously hosting us.

Off we go to our 2nd Interport game - Pearl of the Orient!. 27th July 2024 our team continued to our next destination Penang Sports Club (PSC).

It was a humid day, heavy traffic during our drive up north and traffic around the island. Despite the heavy traffic and hot weather during the drive up north, we were eager to meet our mates from PSC.

RPDYC ultimately lost 12-8 to PSC, the friendly Interport, laughter and camaraderie among us were palpable, creating a vibrant atmosphere that made the eyeball truly worthwhile. Need i mentioned the drinks flowed non-stop!!!

After the games, we indulged in a sumptuous sit-down dinner at the club, where we savored a variety of delicious dishes with everyone giving their approval for a scrumptious dinner. Again, drinks flowed non-stop, and cries chanting to the tune of "Arsenal" were heard. The next day, our gracious host took all of us to explore the local food scene and visited "The Shark" a nearby food court center for a sampling of the best local delicacies.

From spicy noodles to fragrant curries, we savored the flavors of Penang and left with full stomachs and happy hearts. This outing not only strengthened our bonds created many years ago (TQ Michael Wong), It was a fantastic reminder of the importance of camaraderie and everyone left with smiles on their faces and a renewed sense of connection.

Thank you Derick, Albert, Ah Loong, Kenny, James, Alex and the rest of PSC members for being great host.

Our 3 days Interport road trip was incredible, so many stories to tell and nothing like experiencing it yourself. Our 1st stop (26th July) is Royal Ipoh Club (RIC) and this is our summary.

We arrived at the Ipoh Royal Club for our snooker interport event. The excitement was palpable, and it wasn’t long before the laughter and chatter filled the air, creating a lively backdrop for the friendly games. RPDYC lost 11-9 to the better RIC team, the spirit of camaraderie was stronger than ever, and the friendly rivalry only added to the fun. After the matches, we indulged in a feast that seemed to have no end. Plates piled high with delicious food and drinks flowing non-stop kept our spirits high. Joy and laughter filled the room - music too !! Some even commented it was more than a party atmosphere.

Oh, i fail to mention there was a black ball shootout too ... LOL!!
The next morning, we continued our camaraderie with a superb curry mee breakfast that left everyone raving about the flavors. It was the perfect way to wrap up our outing, filled with great food and even better company. It is certainly a trip to remember.

Thank you Dato Daniel for hosting breakfast, Dato Gavin, Dato Adly , Ivan, Jacky, Thomas and all RIC members for a fantastic evening of snooker and fun.
