I watched Siapa Cacat twice and honestly, I would watch it a million times more 💯
This powerful disabled-led production wove together personal stories honesty, vulnerability and strength. It challenged assumptions and reminded audiences of the importance of making space for all voices, not just on stage, but everywhere.
The show’s run at the has already ended, but this incredible cast and production must be featured regardless. We also have a soft spot for .jazi & who made it a point to support our theatre space and rehearse at Hush. It was a privilege to watch part of their journey before it hit the big stage.
We need more theatre like this. More stories told by the people who live them. So incredibly proud of Jazzie and Ching for co-directing this masterpiece, and a huge thank you to the cast for sharing your stories with us 🎭💕
If you ever get the chance to watch Siapa Cacat, take it. And if you’ve already seen it, see it again. ⚡️
Video description: Cast members from Siapa Cacat are filmed individually inside Hush The Theatre, where they also rehearsed for the production. One by one, they face the camera and share their thoughts in interview-style clips. The focus remains on each person, their expressions, and their voice, creating an intimate portrait of the artists behind the show. The simple theatre setting serves as a reminder of the creative space where the cast gathered, rehearsed, and further developed the production together.
