The Closing Ceremony of the Perlis International Sunnah Convention 2026 was held with great honour and dignity.
The ceremony was officially officiated by,

The Raja of the State of Perlis.

Also gracing the occasion were:

Alhamdulillah, PISC 2026 has concluded joyously, leaving behind countless beautiful memories. Every moment was filled with meaning — from inspiring sessions to heartfelt interactions between our respected speakers and the audience. The warmth, smiles, thoughtful questions, shared reflections, and the spirit of unity made every gathering truly special.

🌙 Shaikh Dr. Zakir Naik

Prioritize your spiritual growth! Dr. Zakir reminded us that after our obligatory prayers, Qiyam al-Layl (the night prayer) holds the highest status.

"If we feel it’s too much, then we attempt the second best and so on... The best time for it is the last third of the night. If you can’t offer it at that time, then offer it at the start of the night."

📖 Shaikh Usamah At-Thahabi

A call for authenticity. We must be careful not to "cherry-pick" parts of the religion that suit our desires while ignoring others.

"We don't say that it’s just a Sunnah and abandon something the Messenger of Allah told us. This is like the Jews who would follow a part of their book and abandon the other part following their whims and desires."

Our Lifeline Amidst the Raging Waves. 🌊🧭

Life can often feel like a vast ocean—sometimes calm, but frequently hit by waves of trials, tests, and confusion. In these moments, we need more than just a map; we need a lifeline.

As shared by Shaykh Assim al-Hakeem, the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ is exactly that. It is the life raft that carries us to the shores of safety. Without it, we risk being overwhelmed by the storms of life.

Why the Sunnah is our greatest priority:

Is a good intention enough? 💡✨

We often feel that having a pure heart is all that matters when doing good. But as shared in our session just now, a good intention is only half the journey.

The Keys to an Accepted Deed:

1. Following the Guidance (Sunnah): If an action were truly beneficial, the Sahaba would have raced to do it before us. They were the generation closest to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. To perform acts of worship without a basis in the Sunnah suggests that the Prophet’s guidance was incomplete—when in reality, he ﷺ left us with a perfect and complete path.

2. Accountability in Worship: Any act not in accordance with the Sunnah risks being rejected, regardless of how good our intentions are. This is why we must always ask: "Is this action in line with the way of the Prophet ﷺ?"

The Greatest Form of Remembrance: 📖❤️ Amidst the many forms of dhikr we seek, scholars reach a consensus: The Quran is the greatest dhikr. There is no higher form of remembrance than reciting it, listening to it, reflecting on its meanings, and learning its depth.

Imagine a bird trying to fly with only one wing. It would be impossible. This is exactly how our faith works—the Quran and the Sunnah are the two wings that allow our worship to reach its destination.

Some claim they "only follow the Quran," but without the Sunnah, we wouldn't even know how to perform a single pillar of Islam correctly. The Sunnah is the essential explanation; it specifies the general and clarifies exactly the true path of devotion to Allah

Core Truths to Remember:
1. Equal Authority: Whatever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared prohibited is just as Haram as what is found in the Quran. Whatever he commanded is just as obligatory. There is no separation between the two.
2. The Foundation of Law: We follow what Allah has made Halal, even when external cultures try to criticize or rename our values. We stand firm on the definitions of family and modesty set by our Creator.
3. The Blueprint for Success: The Sunnah isn't just an "addition"—it is the detailed manual that makes the Quran actionable in our daily lives.
