What an electrifying weekend right here in our own backyard!
From July 4th to 5th, the Tropicana Golf & Country Resort in Petaling Jaya transformed into the ultimate battleground for the 2026 Flesh and Blood Malaysian National Championship. A massive shoutout to our sponsors, the production team behind the stream and every single player who pitched their cards, swung their weapons, and gave it their all in the pursuit of the national title!
Capped at 128 of the nation's absolute best, the tournament format pushed competitors to their limits.
Day 1 tested everyone’s versatility with grueling rounds of Classic Constructed and Booster Draft, paving the way for a high-stakes Day 2 where only the elite survived to reach the Top 8.
The metagame this year was a spectacular sight. With the influence of Omens of the Third Age, the arena was full of players zig-zagging their way through fractals of light and heavy arcane damage. We saw incredible showings from the new wave of heroes, with "big boi" Oscilio, Constella Intelligence, Jarl Vetreiði, and Cindra, Dracai of Retribution shaking up the top tables alongside heavy-hitting stalwarts like Victor Goldmane, Kassai of the Golden Sand, and the ever-resilient Ira, Scarlet Revenger.
A huge congratulations to the top seeds who dominated the 10 grueling Swiss rounds to battle it out in the Top 8.
Congratulations to Kiran Ganesan on taking home the National Championship Title after showing a masterclass of piloting Victor throughout the Swiss and elimination rounds!
Finalist, Colin Tang deserves praise worthy of only the mighty, as he piloted newcomer, Zyggy to wins one can only imagine doing so in their sleep.
For those who didn't make the main event cut, the National Festival kept the dice rolling all weekend long. The side events were packed with both veterans and casuals hunting for those exclusive 2026 National Festival promo cards. Meanwhile, the Silver Age World Championship Qualifier gave competitors another fierce avenue to secure their spot on the global stage.
As the dust settles over KL, we look back on a weekend that truly showcased the passion, skill, and camaraderie of the Malaysian Flesh and Blood community.
