Divines are spiritually inclined,
But here is a story one of a kind,

So we are back to rewind,
And seek the motives behind,
This great tale given to mankind,
Of Demon vs Divine!

This Krishna Janmashtami (30th August 2021), BCC Drama and Dance Troupe presents you an encore of "Mahabharata: The Musical" at 10pm via ZOOM.

🎉9 DAYS TO GO FOR OUR 14TH ANNUAL RATHA YATRA.

Save the date and join us for the Jagannath Chariot Festival this 20th December 2019 from 5pm onwards.

Here’s a short story of how the Jagannath Chariot is celebrated in Puri, Orissa.

Millions of people from all over the country and the world congregate every year during the Ratha Yatra. The famous deity Jagannath, the Lord of the world makes his annual trip to his aunt's place (who lives in the nearby Gundicha Temple) after recuperating from a period of illness. He is accompanied by his siblings Balabhadra (Balaram) and Subhadra. The Lord goes on his Ratha named Nandi Ghosh, a huge cart with 18 wheels. Two carts named Taladhwaj and Debdalon follow at a respectable distance. The trio returns to the Jagannath temple after nine days.

It's a visual, physical and spiritual trip that makes every year despite the sultry weather, the huge crowds and stampede like situations. The satisfaction one gets in pulling the rope of the cart with hundreds each jostling and chanting along the way is a feeling totally indescribable.
