VENUE CHANGE

We are just 4 days away from IXF!

While we had originally planned to host the festival at Piasau Nature Reserve, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to them for their support and openness in our early planning stages.

As the festival has grown, we’ve made the decision to move to Alter/space Gallery & Studio, a space that will allow us to better prepare for the important conversations, performances, and connections waiting to happen.

IXF is about community, adaptability, and resilience, and this move is part of ensuring you’ll have the best possible festival experience. We can’t wait to welcome you this weekend!

The inaugural Indigenous Exchange Festival (IXF) 2025 was officially unveiled yesterday at a press conference at alter/space, Miri.

We were honoured by the presence of YB Datuk Sebastian Ting (), Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak, who commended IXF as a home-grown Sarawak initiative with global aspirations - a festival to spark valuable conversations and preserve indigenous culture for generations to come.

Also joining us were the General Manager of our official hotel partner, Mercure Hotel (), our valued media partners, whose support will help bring IXF to a wider audience, as well as some of the cultural practitioners who will be performing during the festival.
