We are proud to be the 1st and only International Afro Latin festival backed by the Sarawak Tourism Board, held on the exotic Borneo Island. Miri AfroLatin Fiesta (MALF) is organized by a small international team comprised of dance instructors & dancers. Running annually, we bring to Malaysia much sought after international instructors and invite dance communities from all over the world to share
their love and knowledge on Afro & Latin dance genres which includes Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba , Urbankiz & more. Miri is a small exotic city in the Malaysian state of Sarawak, located on the exotic Borneo Island. Known for its beautiful beaches and ancient, biodiverse rainforest, caves with the largest underground chamber and much more, Sarawak is also the home to endangered wildlife including orangutans and clouded leopards. The islandโs highest peak, and the famed dive site Sipadan Island is a short flight from Miri airport. We are a unique festival destination as MALF strategically positions itself as a modest and intimate dance retreat.
