Hi and good day, everyone.

I wasn’t planning to write an appreciation post because I’ve always found them a little cliché. But after reflecting on the past few months, I realized some journeys deserve to be remembered.

This was our second FTLA journey. Last year was our first attempt, and it taught us lessons that no rehearsal could. We learned, we grew, and we returned this year determined to be better.

We came together with one goal—to give our very best. Through blood, sweat, tears, endless rehearsals, sleepless nights, weeks of planning, and countless sacrifices, we poured our hearts into every moment. I never knew if we would win, but I knew we would never regret giving everything we had.

There were many times I asked myself, “Why am I doing this? Why put myself through months of pressure, responsibility, and sacrifice when I could simply stay home and watch others compete?”

Last night’s Creative Category performance gave me the answer.

Standing on that stage and witnessing hundreds of people rise to their feet in a standing ovation was a feeling beyond words. What touched me even more was seeing complete strangers applaud, cheer, and celebrate Anak Seni Creation. Some even shed tears at the end of our performance.

To me, that is the greatest achievement any artist could ever ask for—not a trophy, not a medal, but knowing that our art touched someone’s heart.

To my incredible dancers—Aaron, Johanes, Ralfwin, Maxius, Carlos, Nur Azreen, Lorenna, Nursyahira, Asfarini, Joshua, Clinton, Shera, and Nelly—thank you. No amount of money could ever repay your hard work, commitment, sacrifices, and unwavering trust throughout this journey.

To our choreographer Sigan Saliman , co-choreographer Mackenzy Rodza , artistic team Ramles Radin and JOSHUA GUNDY , and to our amazing members Mdm Nordiana and crew, Eric , Dickson , shahrulnizam @ Didi, Allysa, our backstage, technical, costume, and production teams—thank you for making the impossible possible.

This journey has never been about one person.

It has always been about US.

Hi and good day, everyone.

After such a long day today, I wasn’t planning to write an appreciation post because, to be honest, I’ve always found them a little cliché. But today, as I sit down and reflect on everything that has happened over the past few weeks, I realize that some journeys deserve to be remembered, and some people deserve to be appreciated.

This marked our second involvement in FTLA. Last year was our very first attempt, and it taught us lessons that no amount of preparation could ever replace. We learned, we stumbled, we grew, and we came back this year determined to be better.

Coming into this year’s competition, I truly believed that we had gathered the right people, the right resources, and the right spirit to strive for excellence. Through blood, sweat, tears, endless rehearsals, sleepless nights, countless meetings, and weeks of preparation, we gave everything we had.

Honestly, I never knew whether we would win. Winning was never something we could control. What we could control was our commitment, our determination, and the trust we placed in one another.

Throughout this journey, one question kept playing over and over in my mind:

“Why did I sign up for this competition?”

“Why do I keep putting myself through this?”

I could have stayed at home, enjoyed my weekends, and simply watched others compete. Instead, I chose months of planning, endless responsibilities, emotional stress, physical exhaustion, and the sacrifice of thousands of Ringgit just to make this dream become a reality.

Last night’s Creative Category performance gave me the answer.

It was nothing short of magical.

For the first time in my life, I witnessed hundreds of people rise to their feet and give us a standing ovation. The applause echoed throughout the hall, and the cheers were louder than I could have ever imagined. What touched me the most was seeing complete strangers—people who had never met us before—standing together, clapping, cheering, and showing their appreciation for Anak Seni Creation.

At the end of the performance, I noticed tears in the eyes of some audience members. They were moved by the story we told on stage.

To me, that is the greatest achievement any performance could ever accomplish.

Not the trophy.

Not the medal.

Not the title.

But knowing that our performance was able to touch someone’s heart, move their emotions, and leave a lasting memory. That is the true power of art.

To all my dancers, there is no amount of money that could ever repay your hard work, sacrifices, resilience, discipline, and unwavering determination. Thank you for believing in this vision, even when the journey became difficult. Thank you for trusting the process, for pushing your limits, and for giving your heart every single time you stepped onto that stage.

To our choreographer, Sigan Saliman, co-choreographer, Mackenzy Rodza, and our artistic team, Ramles Radin and Joshua Gundy, thank you for dreaming fearlessly, thinking endlessly, and crafting every movement, every transition, every visual, and every detail with so much love and passion. What the audience witnessed on stage was the result of countless hours of creativity, discussion, experimentation, and dedication.

To our production crew, costume manager, backstage crew, technical team, and every single individual—Mdm Nana, Awangku Eza, Dickson Geramong, Shahrul Nizam @ Didi, and Allysa—who stood beside us from Day One until the very last curtain call, thank you. Your contributions may not always be seen by the audience, but they were the foundation that made everything possible.

This journey has never been about one person.

It has always been about US.

Every rehearsal.

Every disagreement.

Every laugh.

Every sleepless night.

Every drop of sweat.

Every sacrifice.

Every moment of doubt.

Every word of encouragement.

Every person who believed in us.

Together, they became part of a story that we will carry for the rest of our lives.

Whatever the final result may be, I already feel like we have won something much greater than any trophy.

We earned the respect of the audience.

We felt the love of complete strangers.

We witnessed people standing on their feet.

We touched hearts.

We made people cry.

And for me, that is success in its purest form.

To every member of Anak Seni Creation, to our families, friends, supporters, and everyone who prayed for us, cheered for us, sent messages of encouragement, and celebrated this journey with us—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Every kind word, every wish, every prayer, every share, and every applause meant more than you could ever imagine.

Finally, this is not the end of our journey.

Anak Seni Creation is officially heading to the Final Festival Kesenian Sarawak 2026 in Miri this coming November. We hope to carry the same passion, the same spirit, and the same love for the arts as we continue this incredible journey.

Please keep us in your prayers and continue supporting us as we proudly represent our community on an even bigger stage.

It was never just about competing.

It was about creating something meaningful.

Something honest.

Something unforgettable.

And together, I truly believe we did.

From the bottom of my heart…

Thank you, Anak Seni Creation.

Thank you, everyone, for believing in us.

See you at the Final Festival Kesenian Sarawak 2026 in Miri this November.

This is only the beginning. ❤️
