✨ What an incredible two days of stitching, laughing, and preserving tradition! 🧵💛

Just wrapped up our amazing Songket Document Folio bag workshop. There is something truly magical about working with traditional songket fabric—every geometric fold and golden thread tells a story of heritage and timeless craftsmanship.

Not only did we master this gorgeous, structured folio complete with a matching handle, but I was so inspired and made a mini songket handphone pouch too! 🥰📱✨
Huge thank you to our wonderful instructors and this lovely community of sewing friends who share the same passion for creating. Crafting with you all made these two days so special. Here’s to more handmade beauty and keeping our traditions alive! 🪡✨

This week marks the official start of the new journey, and the countdown for the next 6 months is officially on.

Moving in silence from here on out—no details, just pure focus, early mornings, and working hard behind the scenes. 🤭

Truly excited for the milestones ahead. Time to put in the hours and let the results do the talking. Stay tuned. ⏳

From one hook to four needles! 🧶✨

I’ve been crocheting for nearly 10 years, but I recently decided to challenge myself and learn how to knit. Honestly, I wasn’t sure if I could handle two needles—let alone four double-pointed needles at the same time!

My journey started on July 1st, and let me tell you, it was slow going. There were countless mistakes, way too much yarn-ripping, and more restarts than I care to count. At one point, I actually almost threw in the towel—my arms and shoulders were so stiff and sore from the completely new way I had to pull and tighten the yarn compared to my usual crochet grip.

But after a lot of trial, error, and stubbornness, I finally found my rhythm.
Meet my first-ever knitted toy: a little Siamese cat! 🐱 Not only is it my first finished knit, but it also has movable limbs, so it can sit, stand, and even strike a walking pose.

It’s definitely not perfect, but it’s proof that stepping out of your comfort zone is worth it. So proud of this little guy and my new skills. Here’s to many more projects on the needles! 🥂

Another milestone reached! 🧵

I just finished a 2-day workshop to make these pegged pants, and honestly, it was such an eye-opening experience. Before this, I always thought sewing was just about drawing lines and stitching fabric together. Turns out, there is so much more to it—I had no idea how much actual math and precision goes into the drafting process to get the fit just right!

I learned to draft the patterns from my own measurements, then moved on to cutting and assembling everything myself. I’m really happy with how they turned out—they’re super comfortable, they have pockets, and they’re so easy to style with different tops.

Feeling really grateful for the guidance from my teacher. Thank you for helping me make sense of the math behind the fashion; it’s definitely changed the way I look at my clothes. On to the next project!

Knitting turned out to be a lot harder than I expected. 🧶😅
Spent the last day or two learning the basics—knit, purl, increase, decrease—and thought I’d try moving on to working in the round. It was definitely tougher than it looks. I ended up having to pull the whole thing apart and start over, but after a few tries and a lot of un-winding, I think I’m finally starting to get the hang of it.
Definitely realized I need this little row counter to keep track of where I am. It’s a slow process, but I’m enjoying it. Slowly building this little bear one stitch at a time.

Finally finished my very first pair of pants for my hubby! 🧵✨
I spent the last 5 days in a fashion workshop learning the ropes, and it was quite an experience. Going from drawing out the patterns to cutting the fabric and finally sewing it all together—it was a lot to take in, but so satisfying.
It was my first time trying so many new things, like sewing three different types of pockets (side, cargo, and back), installing a front fly zipper, and constructing the waistband properly. I definitely made a few mistakes along the way, but with a lot of patience and some unpicking, I managed to get it done.
It’s not perfect, but I’m really happy with how it turned out—and more importantly, he loves it! It feels great to see something I made from scratch being worn. Proud of this little accomplishment. 😊

Three days of sewing, learning, and so much growth! 🧵✨

I’ve just wrapped up an incredible journey at the Women’s Empowerment Program Through Recycled Textile Production, and my heart is so full. It was truly a special collaboration between the Green Science & Technology Association Malaysia, WormingUp , and Jabatan Wanita dan Keluarga Sarawak (JWKS).

We dove deep into the world of upcycling, turning old jeans into stylish new bags and breathing fresh life into baju kurung to create beautiful eco-friendly carriers. Beyond just the hands-on sewing, I’m so grateful to have been exposed to the world of packaging, branding, and digital marketing—skills that really add value and help make these upcycled pieces shine.

A massive thank you to the organizers, our patient facilitators, and all the amazing fellow participants. Learning together and sharing this space has been such a highlight. I’m feeling so inspired to continue creating with a greener tomorrow in mind! 🌏💫

✨ Workshop Day = Productive Day! ✨

Just attended a sewing workshop today and I’m so happy to have completed 3 handmade pencil cases in three different fabric designs! 💚💙🩷

From learning the techniques to stitching every detail, it was such a rewarding experience seeing these pieces come together. Every project teaches me something new, and today I walked away with new skills, new confidence, and three beautiful creations. 🧵✂️

Feeling accomplished and inspired to keep creating! ❤️

Which design is your favourite — Green, Blue, or Pink Floral? 😊

Had a quick but super fun batik crafting experience at the Craftxibition event in BCCK Kuching 🎨✨
Even though the session was only around half an hour, we still got to experience the whole process — choosing our own patterns, doing the wax drawing, and painting the batik piece on the spot 🖌️🌸

It was such a lovely hands-on activity and a nice little creative break. Best of all, we could bring home the finished piece as a handmade souvenir 💕

Short session, but definitely a memorable one ❤️

Just finished sewing this dreamy raglan blouse with a gathered neckline and I’m so happy with how it turned out 🌸✨
The soft floral fabric, relaxed fit, and comfy silhouette make it such an easy piece to wear and match with almost anything. Perfect for a calm garden stroll kind of day 🤍

A huge thank you to our wonderful teacher for guiding us so patiently with so much expertise throughout the process. Every step felt encouraging, and we managed to complete this beautiful top together 🪡🧵

What a truly fruitful sewing week filled with learning, creativity, and handmade joy 💕
