This student worked on a detailed pencil drawing, focusing on shading, light and shadow, texture, and different pencil pressures to create depth✏️🖤

I especially love all the little details — the sparkling eyes, winter outfit, snowflakes, and even the tiny snowman☃️❄️

Every detail makes the artwork feel more complete and brings the character to life.

A lotus blooming from an unexpected little place 💗🌿

This student explored a beautiful combination of lotus leaves, soft watercolour layers and colour blending, turning a simple idea into something imaginative and completely her own ✨

From the different shades of green in the leaves to the soft pink petals and dreamy blue-purple pot, every detail was slowly built up with patience🖌️💙

There’s no single “right” result in art — giving students space to make their own colour choices is part of the creative process🖍️🎨

A peaceful tropical view, painted one layer at a time 🌊🌿

This student explored watercolour landscape painting, working on soft colour transitions, different shades of green, reflections in the water, and the details of the coconut trees 🖌️💚

I especially love how the layered brushstrokes give the coconut leaves so much movement and texture. From the first washes to the final details, everything slowly came together into this beautiful tropical scenery✨

From the first soft washes of colour to the final details, it’s always lovely to see an artwork slowly come together💕

This lesson focused on watercolour layering, colour blending, brush control, and adding details. The bright rooftops, green trees and dreamy clouds really brought the whole castle to life✨

✏️ Building Form Through Light & Shadow

This pencil study focuses on one of the most important foundations in drawing — understanding form, perspective, light and shadow.

Instead of relying only on outlines, the student worked with different pencil values to separate each surface, creating stronger depth and a more three-dimensional structure🖤

From observing the reference to slowly building up the darker areas, every layer of shading makes a difference.

Simple subject, but a great exercise for developing observation and pencil control✨
