We are grateful for the opportunity to serve as an instructor for the exchange student performance organized by AFS Malaysia. This experience was unique, as it allowed us to encounter intriguing individuals from various countries while simultaneously showcasing the traditional culture of Malaysia, particularly Pahang.

The song Joget Pahang was selected for the dance because it narrates the journey of a traveller who roams far from home. This theme is highly appropriate for those who have travelled here and will eventually return to their home countries, bringing with them not only cultural experiences but also the nobility and warmth of the local people.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Najwa and the entire AFS team. The mission to cultivate a love for the arts and culture must begin with us, so that we neither forget our heritage nor ever feel ashamed to present it to the world 🫶🏼
