This exhibition showcases the outcomes of "Art in the Golden Years (晚岁如艺)" art workshop that is specially created for the senior citizens. “Arts for the Golden Years ” is a socially-engaged contemporary art project that invites the senior community of all races to involve in arts and learn arts!

Initiated by Studio SamaSama Project Space and sponsored by District Enterprise and Perniagaan Yik Sing Sdn Bhd, the project hopes to shed new light to the life of the senior community in Malaysia through art. Art learning activities, art sharing sessions, exhibiting and socialising are just part of this project.

With a team of art graduates volunteering to guide the participants for 8 weeks starting Jan through to Mar 2025, the participants tried different art mediums such as watercolour painting, figure drawing, printmaking techniques, and listening to stories about famous art pieces through a series of workshops. The exhibition showcase the artworks produced by everyone who participated in this project.
