One of the activities during our Sing & Soul retreat was walking through a magical ancient woodland and singing this song I composed especially for this time, this place, and this group of people.
I wrote the song whilst visiting my brother who is buried in a beautiful woodland burial site close to my home in Yorkshire, and I felt his presence whilst tuning in and composing these words and this melody. Hearing the wind wind her way amongst the beautiful trees, rustling their leaves as my backdrop. I know he was with us as we sang the song in this gorgeous place too.
I have visited these ancient woods in Pembrokeshire many times and the land calls to me. I knew it was the perfect spot for us to gather and raise our voices together. We are powerful as a collective when we come together with the same intentions and vision of peace, love and unity.
