Congratulations to Joshua Lau and Thean Yao Sheng, the winners of Free Hand 2025.

Joshua Lau (left) will be commissioned to compose the set piece for the Young Artist Category, while Thean Yao Sheng (right) will be commissioned to compose for the Senior Category of UCSI’s 7th International Piano Festival and Competition in 2026.

We look forward to the premiere of their newly commissioned works next year.
