Happy Pride all day, every day from Malaysia! πŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈπŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ We missed posting this during Pride Month but the pride we hold close to our chest will always stay with us.

We may not be exactly where we hoped to be, but as the late, great Dolly Parton once said, β€œThe way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.” This isn’t to say we should completely dismiss the systemic discrimination we face, but despite the setbacks, we are allowed to be hopeful, and to find joy in a world that needs more of it.

The rain looks different for everyone, and for q***r Malaysians, it can mean silence, fear, or having to hide who we are, but nobody should have to weather it alone. That is why our visibility and how we choose to express ourselves matters more than our need for society’s approval.
