The dance endeavors of "Jayanthi Mangala ~ Nourishing Mother / Avenging Goddess" conceptualized by Natyacharya, Dr Ajith Bhaskar, embody a powerful fusion of maternal nurturing and divine justice, depicted through dance forms that showcase grace, strength, and transformation.

The concept seems to draw upon the duality of the feminine divine, often represented in Hindu mythology by goddesses who simultaneously embody the roles of loving nurturers and fierce protectors. As Nourishing Mother, suggests a figure of compassion, providing care, support, and sustenance to her children, echoing the essence of motherly love and sacrifice. On the other hand, Avenging Goddess evokes the image of a fierce protector, standing against injustice and oppression, meting out divine retribution to restore balance.

The dance, likely rooted in classical Indian traditions, would blend intricate footwork, mudras and abhinaya to communicate these contrasting but interconnected qualities. Through this, the artistic director would convey a narrative of empowerment, where feminine energy is not just a source of creation and nourishment but also a force of righteous wrath when needed.

This fusion of nurturing and vengeance allows for a rich exploration of the many dimensions of the divine feminine, illustrating how the roles of mother and goddess are intertwined in the mythic traditions. The choreography by teaching faculty of Suvarna Fine Arts would explore themes of love, protection, justice, and the balance between serenity and fury, inviting the audience to experience the complexity of these roles and the strength that comes from embodying both.
