Kalpana Dance Theatre KALPANA DANCE THEATRE Kalpana Dance Theatre (KDT) is the brainchild of Ms Shangita Namasivayam and was established in 1998.

Embracing the advent of the art world in dance and culture, KDT is today an exponent in Indian Arts and Culture with emphasis in Bharatanatyam and Odissi. KDT strives to be one of the leading performing arts institutions within the community through the delivery of high-level commitment and dedication in the work we do and create for our artistes and students. The school wants to be recognised and

remembered as an institution which strictly adheres to the traditional styles and values of Bharatanatyam and Odissi. KDT is the sole affiliate with Pracheen Kala Kendra India which offers external formal examinations for the arts up to a Masters Degree equivalent. In touching hearts with the magic of dance, KDT ensures that the dance form is accessible and inclusive to anyone who wishes to learn. Kalpana Dance Theatre conducts Barathanatyam and Odissi classes at Vivekananda Ashram in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur.
