What will life look like after retirement? For Sulaeman, one of the participants in Apical's Retirement Preparation Training, it could mean turning a new interest into a future business opportunity.

“Apical's Retirement Preparation Training gave us valuable insights as we prepare for retirement. My wife especially enjoyed learning about premium baking ingredients, which opened up new ideas for a potential future business,” he shared.

Alongside sessions on financial planning, mental readiness, healthy living and entrepreneurship, participants also took part in a hands-on baking workshop, turning new knowledge into practical experience and fresh inspiration for the future.

Organised in response to aspirations from the labour union, the initiative reflects Apical's commitment to supporting employees through every stage of their journey.

“Apical is part of people’s lives, from skincare and food to transportation and animal feed. We strive to deliver quality products while caring for the environment and public health,” shared Prama Yudha Amdan, Head of Corporate Communications at Apical Group.

In September, we brought "Skin Defense: Protecting Skin in Extreme Weather and Pollution" to Pekanbaru, Riau, with Wardah, one of Indonesia's leading skincare and cosmetics brands, and PERDOSKI, Indonesia’s association of dermatology, venereology and aesthetic specialists. The event gave the community practical insights into skincare ingredients and protecting skin from extreme weather and pollution.

As an integrated palm oil company producing CPO and its derivatives, including skincare ingredients, Apical believes this comes with a responsibility to care for people and the environment. Since 1994, Apical has not worked with plantations that use fire to clear land.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in supporting healthier communities!

At SCORE Forum 2026 in Bogor, Indonesia, Tor Mooi See, Director of Sustainability at Apical, discussed what it will take to build more responsible supply chains.

"Transitioning to a more responsible supply chain can strengthen customer confidence and market access, but getting there requires collective action across the value chain."

Producers, processors, buyers, financial institutions and industry platforms all have a role to play in sharing the costs, incentives and benefits of sustainability.

As a processor, Apical works closely with suppliers and customers as a trusted partner, helping turn evolving sustainability requirements into practical action that supports responsible growth and long-term resilience across the supply chain.

Recently, Apical supported the annual Gebyar Literasi event at SDN 02 Marunda Pagi in Marunda, North Jakarta, bringing together students, teachers and parents to explore literacy through storytelling and digital story-writing competitions.

Since 2024, the event has encouraged participants to develop creativity and communication skills while learning together. This year's attendees also enjoyed Ngebuleng, a traditional Betawi storytelling performance that shared moral lessons through music and local history.

By bringing schools and families together, the initiative helps encourage a culture of learning and supports greater participation in literacy activities within the local community.

Greater visibility starts with traceability.

Traceability to Plantation (TTP) helps strengthen transparency across the oil palm supply chain and provides greater visibility into the origins of the raw materials we source.

In 2025, Apical achieved 99.98% TTP for crude palm oil and 100% TTP for crude palm kernel oil, up from 99.81% and 99.71% respectively in 2024.

By working closely with suppliers, we continue to strengthen traceability and support more transparent, responsible supply chains.

Transparency starts with knowing where our raw materials come from and understanding how we work with our suppliers.

For Apical, it also means identifying where improvements are needed, working with our suppliers, and being open about our progress.

This commitment to greater transparency is reflected in our SPOTT (Sustainability Policy Transparency Toolkit) score, which rose from 93.3% in 2024 to 95% in 2025.
