Your weekly weekend guide is back! Here's how you can this coming 16-18 Oct weekend.

Every artist has their own unique style to express themselves. Come discover the stories behind their styles and artworks at the various group and solo exhibitions across GMBB.

There will also be another Saturday Storytelling Session, The Fisherman's Quarrel, and the Space Fundamental with MC Yan. Last but not least - join these workshops to help you prepare for Halloween - Face Your Fear (Glow-In-The-Dark beads!), Make Your Own Black Cat Plushie and (and bring it for your trick or treat with us!).

BOO! We might just have the perfect ritual for you to summon some special supernatural celebration...

This Halloween, treat your boo-boos to some sweet scares with a 30-store trick-or-treat. If you go around with ghoulish garbs or creative costumes, you just might steal the judges hearts 🫀 and you might just take home some special prizes!

So keep an eye out for the end of October, because we will about the weird workshops, menacing menus, and perplexing promos that will haunt you well into November.

Guess what is happening this weekend? 10-10-tennn!

You can do better than Lazada, Shopee, and Taobao, because - 10-10-tennn! - we have a great range of events for your weekend to be a great one.

New exhibitions include 《Me, Saya, 我》, The Ways We Human, Fragment of Mind(s), Katun, and Oblivium - The Arrival. There are also talks and workshops - the 2027 Trends & Life Roadmap talk, the 2026 World Mental Health Day talk (by our neighbours Tung Shin Hospital), and a Sound Bath workshop. Last but not least, Saturday Storytelling sessions featuring Kisah Lintah, Pacat dan Nyamuk. This coming weekend is holistic, wholesome, and a whole lotta cool. A perfect 10/10 if we could say so ourselves.

The final stretch of the year has begun, as we start October.

This month sees a number of solo exhibitions - Katun, Jazz Ton, and Eileen Nyeow, plus many more exhibitions and grad shows for you to local artists, such as Jane Yap Atelier's 23rd Our World Art, The Ways We Human (a collective art installation about neurodiversity), and the returning KL Photo Awards.

The Macam Macam Market garage sale has also just passed being yet another marketplace with us, all culminating with the fun and spooky Boo!, a GMBB Halloween celebration.

This coming 2-4 Oct weekend is the first October weekend of the year, and with it we say goodbye fondly to our Merdeka-Malaysia Day season.

The month will kickoff with an event for value hunters - the Macam-Macam Underground Garage Sales 4.0. There will be over 55 booths selling collectibles and vintage finds such as toys, comics, books, memorabilia, and more. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, they say. While you’re hunting for cool stuff, you can also check out the below exhibitions. Some of them wrap up this weekend, so don’t miss out!

September is always a warm month for us all. It is a month where we celebrate ourselves, looking to the past to find the Malaysia that we grew up with and miss. A month to remind ourselves about how everything that means something to us came to be, and how that is uniquely Malaysian. A month to remember how and why we .

For Obart Kolektif, objective art isn’t just a genre. It is a vessel, an archive. One that offers respite in the form of quiet smiles, warm recognitions, and welcome recollections. From P. Ramlee to bas minis, it is about the authentic moments we experienced thoughout our lives, and how we choose to keep them with us in our everyday lives.

A recent member to our of tenants, we couldn’t think of a better way to cover ObArt Kolektif Mustajab than with the help of POPGENCY, a group of creative (and funny!) advertising students from UiTM who we engaged with through their coursework. Obart Kolektif’s is the pure Malaysian indie spirit in full flow. They are as local as any of us can be, right here in GMBB.

We are ending September with a bang! 💥

In addition to a whole hosts of workshops, exhibitions, talks and more, we are welcoming Sunny Side Up Market’s Meet the Makers and Filamen’s last weekend for biannual new media art exhibition IMMERSIO on level 5. Don’t miss out this chance on supporting our local artists and artisans!

And just like that, it’s the end of September. There is still time yet to catch some of our September offerings, so check out what’s in store for this coming last weekend of the month.

Ongoing exhibitions are plenty, and they include the final weekend of IMMERSIO 2026 (don’t miss this!), Rasa Pasar, Inheritance: Borneo Women, and A Malaysia Made of Water. All these beautifully capture the spirit and creativity of Malaysia, so do check them out.

New events include Sunny Side Up Market (they’re back!), the launch of a new streetwear spot AA Sharelove, an amazing Bharatanatyam show ‘An Evening WIth JK Wicky’, and another Saturday storytelling session with Bidasari. There is also Book On The Road’s final stop at KL that will contain Sharing Sessions, a Documentary Screening and a Book Club.

Plenty of workshops too! There will be a double bill for the freeverse poetry workshop, featuring Mosyuki Borhan and Dr Sheena Baharudin. There is also a sunday craft workshop, along with a traditional lantern making workshop in celebration of the Mooncake Festival.
