Supported by Nottinghamshire YMCA and The Arts Council England, the Skratcher project's aim was to promote and explore the art of turntablism. Coaching was provided by a range of global experts such as Vekked and Rob Swift.
The project facilitated a series of bi-monthly events, offering a platform for DJ's to meet, jam and share ideas.
7 times world champion, Vekked ran a 10 week programme where he shared his huge knowledge and experience of turntablsm.
We also teamed up with the ‘Brolic Army’ DJ School to enrol 5 DJ’s who perfected their skills under Rob Swifts expert guidance.
Here is our final piece of work celebrating the 12 month project with performances from: Delightfull, Da Odd Couple and Versatile and also tutorials from Vekked and Statik.

Its been a while but we are back with a bang so please join us for our next 'Live at the Hive' Scratch Jam. As usual, it's an open turntable event with all abilities welcome.
June 11th - 14:00 - The Hive Bar, 101 Mansfield Road,
Nottingham, NG1 3FN
Don't forget to bring your portable turntables, fav scratch vinyl and headphones if you prefer, however we will have 5 Reloop portable turntables and scratch wax available for you to use.

Info on first Skratcher Kuala Lumpur scratch jam. Big up the KL crew!!!

Created to share and inspire existing and upcoming Turntable enthusiasts; Skratcher was formed to allow people to explore the art and beauty of Turntablism as a community. Bringing the “Bedroom DJ” out to the open and given a chance to share his/her musical expressions. Skratcher is a ALL AGES event, inviting Turntablists of the future.

With 47 chapters and growing globally, (hailing from the United States, Canada, UK, France, Spain, Italy, Australia, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates and Korea) they all share the same vision and outlook with DJing as a whole.

Venue-Premier DJ Academy, Bangsar

3:00 pm Beginner tutorial
4:00 pm Open scratch Jam
6:00 pm close

Expect friendly, supportive and relaxed vibes.
Come along, take part or just watch.
Equipment is provided however we advise you to bring your own scratch vinyl if you can.

We will also be working with 'Unite the Scene” dance crew who will be collaborating with Statik to create a unique routine using ‘Phase’ technology.

In partnership with the (OTC) Online Turntablism Cypher and Stephen Fever Richards the project will also support DJ’s of all levels through online tutorials and jam sessions.
We have teamed up with Rob Swift's 'Brolic Army’ DJ Academy to enrol 5 DJ’s who will perfect their skills under his expert guidance

We will also be working with Gareth Woodward and 'Unite the Scene” dance crew who will be collaborating with Jordan Peacock aka Statik to create a unique routine using ‘Phase’ technology.

We will be holding an online launch event and scratch jam on Sunday 22nd August with special guest appearances from Da Odd Couple, Jake Vekked Meyer , Lee White AKA Loop Skywalker, Statik and Jon1st.

A big shout to Neil MacLaren for all his help in making this project happen. Its been 2 year in the making but its now finally here.
There are some seriously heavy weight DJ's on the line up so dont miss out. Event page to come soon.
