TC Music Enterprise TC Music Enterprise offers a fine selection of vintage & used American guitars and tube amplifiers. It’s been an interesting ride, but a great one, so far.

I have played and collected guitars and amps since the early 1990s. Being a college student in the southeast United States opened up my perspective on used and vintage American guitars. Their rich history, excellent workmanship, and stupendous collectibility factors magnetized my passion towards this hobby to a great degree. In 2016, I made the big jump from the corporate world to become a small

Through Music We Rise❤️🎸

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to donate three acoustic guitars to Stepping Stones Living Centre, Taman Seputeh, Kuala Lumpur.

Music has a unique way of inspiring, healing, and bringing people together. It is our hope that these guitars will provide the children and residents with a creative outlet, opportunities to learn new skills, and many moments of joy through music.

A special thank you to Pastor Johnson for making this possible and for the privilege of partnering with Stepping Stones Living Centre in this meaningful initiative. Your dedication to serving and nurturing the community is deeply appreciated.

Every guitar placed into the hands of a young person represents more than just an instrument; it represents encouragement, hope, confidence, and the chance to discover new talents and passions.

We look forward to seeing these guitars being used to create beautiful music, lasting memories, and positive impact in the lives of many.

Back on song and ready for many more years of music!

This charming red Music Luthier D’Clair 3/4 acoustic guitar recently came into the workshop with two issues that were affecting both its playability and structural integrity.

The first was a noticeably dented 3rd fret at the B string area, which had developed a low spot along the string path. While a full fret level could have been performed, replacing the individual fret was the most precise and efficient solution to restore proper note clarity and eliminate unwanted buzzing.

The second issue involved a detached bridge. Over time, string tension and environmental changes had caused the bridge to separate from the soundboard. The bridge was carefully removed, all old adhesive residues cleaned away, mating surfaces prepared, and the bridge reglued using proper clamping techniques to ensure a strong and lasting bond.

With the new fret installed, levelled, crowned and polished, and the bridge securely reattached, the guitar received a complete setup to bring everything back into optimal playing condition.

Repairs like these may not be the most glamorous, but they are often the difference between a guitar that struggles to perform and one that inspires its owner every time it’s picked up.

Another faithful companion rescued, restored, and ready to make music once again…

We've just returned from our annual trip to Japan, and as always, it was an unforgettable experience.

For guitar enthusiasts, walking through Japan's legendary music stores, vintage shops, and workshops is the closest thing to visiting "Disneyland". Row upon row of beautiful instruments, rare treasures, impeccable craftsmanship, and enough inspiration to last an entire year.

This trip wasn't just about sourcing guitars and parts. It was about reconnecting with the passion that started this journey in the first place. Every shop visited, every guitar played, and every conversation shared reminded us why we love what we do.

We're excited to bring back some special finds and fresh ideas for upcoming restoration projects. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our adventures and shares our love for these wonderful instruments.

This sweet short scale mini jumbo came into the workshop with a bridge that was slowly lifting away from the body; a problem that may look small at first, but can seriously affect tone, playability, and structural stability over time.

The old bridge was carefully removed, the mating surfaces cleaned and corrected, before the necessary restoration works were carried out to ensure a proper bond and healthy top integrity once again. After careful clamping, curing, setup adjustments, and plenty of workshop patience, she’s now back where she belongs, stable, resonant, and ready to sing again.

Always satisfying to give a well-loved instrument a second life instead of seeing it retired too early…

A meaningful handover last week, as we welcomed Ms. Wong Siew Ngan from the Hearts Symphony Society to collect 4 freshly repaired guitars from our workshop.

Each instrument came in with its own battle scars, worn or missing frets, tired hardware, major structural issues and years of hard use (maybe abuse too), but now they’re ready to make music again instead of gathering dust in storage.

What makes this especially rewarding is knowing these guitars will soon be placed into the hands of some refugee kids & youths across the country for educational and musical development programs. There’s something special about seeing repaired and restored instruments continue their journey by inspiring new players and new stories.

Music gear can always be replaced. Opportunities and inspiration are much harder to come by. Glad to play a small part in keeping both alive… have a great one 🙏🏻

Some guitars arrive at the workshop looking tired.This one arrived looking like it had survived a bar fight, a road accident, and possibly an encounter with termites…😅😅😅

The headstock was badly chewed up around the tuning key installation points, with enlarged and damaged holes that could no longer properly support the tuners. Definitely not a “just tighten the screws” situation😜

Time for the battlefield surgeon approach 🧑‍⚕️ 🎸

The damaged sections were carefully rebuilt, reinforced, redrilled, aligned, and fitted with replacement tuning machines to restore proper stability and tuning performance. A delicate operation involving precision, patience, clamps, and a small amount of controlled panic.

The patient survived.Tuning stability is now back.And this guitar is now ready for many more years of musical duty instead of becoming wall decoration.

Sometimes guitar repair is less “maintenance” and more “field medicine.” 🤗🤗🤗

This humble 3/4 student acoustic guitar arrived with two major issues; a faulty truss rod and a badly delaminated top 🫨🫨🫨

The failed truss rod meant the neck relief could no longer be properly adjusted, making the guitar difficult to play and impossible to setup correctly. On top of that, the top wood had started separating and lifting from prolonged stress and humidity exposure.

These smaller student guitars are often overlooked because of their modest value, but many still carry plenty of musical life left in them; especially for beginners and young learners.

Repair work carried out included:• Diagnosing and restoring truss rod functionality• Correcting neck relief and playability issues• Regluing and clamping the delaminated top sections with Titebond Original glue• Structural inspection to ensure stability• Full restringing and setup after repairs

A good setup and solid structural repair can completely transform how a student instrument feels in the hands. Comfortable playability is especially important for beginners; it can make the difference between giving up and continuing the musical journey.

Glad to see this little 3/4 acoustic back in proper playing condition again and ready for many more practice sessions ahead 🤠 🎸

Another patient on the bench today: This black SX Poison Series dreadnaught acoustic came in with a completely busted saddle and a missing tuner… 🫨🫨🫨

The damaged saddle meant poor strings support, compromised tone transfer, and almost unplayable action. On top of that, the missing tuner left the instrument unable to stay properly strung and tuned.

A straightforward issue on paper… but as always, proper restoration is about bringing the instrument back to reliable playing condition while preserving its character.

The repair work involved:

• Removing and replacing the damaged saddle• Checking saddle fit and strings contact for proper vibration transfer and balanced strings volume• Installing a replacement tuner• Restringing and basic setup adjustments• Ensuring stable tuning and comfortable playability again

Good reminder that many guitars are only a few proper repairs away from becoming dependable instruments once more. No need to give up on them just because a few critical parts failed.

This SX Poison Series dreadnaught is now back in action and ready to make music again.

Not every repair is glamorous… but this is the kind of work that truly determines whether a guitar gets a second life or ends up beyond saving 😅😅😅

This acoustic came in with serious damage around the bridge section; the wood beneath the bridge plate had developed a hole and weakened area from years of tension, stress and previous glue failure. Since the bridge plate is responsible for distributing the enormous pull from the strings, any weakness here can quickly turn into lifting bridges, poor tone and structural instability…

The damaged section was carefully cleaned out and patched with properly fitted tonewood before being reinforced and leveled to restore the integrity of the top. Precision is everything at this stage , even tiny inconsistencies can affect bridge seating, string energy transfer and long-term durability.

Once completed, the repaired area will provide a solid foundation again for the bridge plate and bridge assembly to sit securely for many more years of musical service.

These are the repairs most people never see… but they are often the most important. I’m glad it is done 🤗🎸
