The World Guzheng Competition, organized by Asian Art Association Singapore, continues its mission to promote the beauty, heritage, and contemporary expression of the guzheng on a global stage.

AAA Invited by HONOR to Join Southeast Asian Scholars in Kuala Lumpur for a Dialogue on AI, Art, and Youth Empowerment

Recently, Jay Chau, Chairman of the Asian Art Association Singapore (AAA), was invited by the international technology brand HONOR to participate in a roundtable discussion in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Together with distinguished university professors and opinion leaders from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, China and other Southeast Asian regions, AAA explored key topics surrounding artificial intelligence, art innovation, and youth empowerment.

Jenny Tang currently works between Beijing and Hong Kong. She graduated from the Affiliated High School of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in China in 2010 and from the Printmaking Department of the Academy of Arts & Design at Tsinghua University in China in 2014. From 2014 to 2023, she pursued further studies at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany and Central Saint Martins in the UK. Her works have been exhibited at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University, the 798 Art Gallery in Beijing, the Shanghai International Children's Book Fair, the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany, and Los Angeles in the United States. Her personal works have been collected, published, and acquired by the Central Academy of Fine Arts High School, the Academy of Arts & Design at Tsinghua University, and private collectors.

In January 2025, she was invited to join the Asian Art Association Singapore (Traditional Painting).

Xiu Fengrui, born in Shandong, China in 1986, is a contemporary artist active in Beijing and Shenzhen. He has always adhered to the independence of art, believing that art is the most personal form of expression, not influenced by external evaluations, and unwilling to be bound by the rules of the art circle. He pays attention to his true inner feelings, not limited by the forms and genres of art, but focuses on free creation.

During his artistic career, Xiu Fengrui's works have been exhibited in many important exhibitions, including the "China Present" Contemporary Art Exhibition at the Hainan Art Fair, the themed touring exhibition "Money, Here It Comes!" at the China Financial Museum, the Second Nanjing International Art Exhibition at the Nanjing International Exhibition Center, the Asian Young Artists Nomination Exhibition at the Today Art Museum, etc. His artistic footprints spread across Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Chengdu, Suzhou, Macau, Singapore and other places, demonstrating a distinct personal style and thinking.

Xiu Fengrui's works are widely collected by institutions such as the Sichuan Art Museum, the Atour Hotel in Beijing 798, the Four Seasons Hotel in Shenzhen, the Tianyue Hotel in Chengdu, Shangpin Yilang, ChengDouyouji Culture Communication Company, October Vision, Newface Culture and Art, and Sichuan Hongyige Culture Communication Co., Ltd. His creation is not only a visual expression, but also a persistence and exploration of the individual independent spirit.

In October 2024, he was invited to join the Asian Art Association Singapore (Mixed Media Painting) and became a lifetime member.

He Wenhong, from Zhaoqing, Guangdong, China, is a painting artist dedicated to exploring the “fragmented expression of memory”. His works include oil painting and calligraphy, and he is constantly searching for a new self in the transformation of different materials and forms. He believes that art is not only a visual presentation, but also a language of the silent, capable of transcending the limitations of words and expressing unspeakable emotions and memories.

In terms of creative concepts, He Wenhong is obsessed with deconstructing everyday things, giving new meanings to rusted, cracked or forgotten old objects, making them show surreal poetic meanings. His works emphasize the fusion of art and life, and focus on the “eternal moments in the passage of time”, trying to capture the fleeting beauty in his paintings. Always wary of repeating himself, he continues to experiment with new artistic techniques, such as combining traditional craftsmanship with AI-generated technology, in order to find unique inspiration in uncertainty.

In March 2025, he was invited to join the Asian Art Association Singapore (Traditional Painting) as a lifetime member.

Zhao Zhenghao is a Chinese young oil painter born in Henan in 1987. Since childhood, he has shown a strong interest and talent in painting. Later, he furthered his studies at the Oil Painting Institute of the Chinese National Academy of Arts, continuously delving into the field of oil painting creation.

His works feature a unique style. He skillfully uses colors and brushstrokes to construct pictures full of tension and emotional depth. His creative themes are wide - ranging. Whether it is the delicate portrayal of portraits or the magnificent depiction of landscapes, they all reflect his unique observation and understanding of life and the world. With his outstanding artistic standards, his works have won numerous awards in major domestic and international art competitions, gaining widespread recognition and acclaim within the art community.

He is committed to expressing his thoughts on human nature, society, and nature through oil painting art, conveying warmth and strength through his works. He continues to shine in the field of contemporary oil painting and is one of the highly - regarded young artists.

In March 2025, he was invited to join the Asian Art Association Singapore (Traditional Painting) and as a judge for the Singapore World Portrait Painting Competition 2025.

Yingyu Lyu, a young choreographer and freelance dancer from Paris, France, dancer of the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics, graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse (CNSM), Paris, France, majoring in Contemporary Dance Performance and Choreography in 2024. Double Master's Degree in Chinese and French Dance.

Worked as a dancer with the Ballet Angelin Preyocaj in France and as an educational intern at the Edgar Varese Academy in France. Participated in Cannes Dance Festival, Pompidou Festival, Brittany Dance Festival, Carthage Dance Festival and French Dance Biennale. Her choreography has been invited to perform at the Guangdong Modern Dance Exhibition, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau Modern Dance Week, and Beijing Thunder World Dance Company. Her choreography won the highest award of the Korea Culture and Arts Exchange Association for modern dance and the gold medal of the Korea International Dance Competition.

In February 2025, she was invited to join the Asian Art Association Singapore (Modern Dance).
