Before the main stage opens, we invite you to “Small Talk”, a KLIF 2026 side event hosted at Eslite Spectrum, Kuala Lumpur.
Artistic growth flourishes in these intimate exchanges, where we move beyond aesthetics to explore the intentionality, resilience, and personal narratives that define our creative lives. From navigating industry stability to drawing through grief and wonder, these sessions offer a rare look into the artist behind the art.

We have curated a selection of 15 distinct voices with sharing sessions happening every weekend throughout the month of April.

and A4 Art Gallery are bringing the industry’s top guns to Langkawi for the Langkawi Creative Island Fest.
This isn’t just an event; it’s Take It Outside - a movement by artists, for artists. We’re moving beyond the gallery and into the wild to:

Introducing the KLIF 2026 Selection Jury
Our mission has always been to bridge the gap between art world and commercial world to ensure a sustainable industry.

This year, our panel of jurors was tasked with reviewing over 770 applications from across the globe. To bring the necessary professional wisdom to the table, we invited leaders from academia, top-tier advertising agencies, and established studio owners.

Our primary guideline for the jury was simple yet profound: Seek Uniqueness.

Academic Jury:
• Bibi Chew (Dean of Academic Studies / Head of Illustration, MIA)
• Sean Lee (Deputy Head of Illustration, Dasein Academy of Art)

Agency Jury:
• Loreen Eva & Didi Pirinyuang (Integrated Creative & CCO, VML Malaysia)

Studio Owners:
• Sky & Rong (Managing Director & Creative Director, Two People Studio)
• Zhi Ling (Founder, Kongsi Design)

Experimental Pioneers:
• Fariz Hanapiah (Founder, EDT)

By involving these distinct voices, we ensure that the selection for KLIF 2026 is diverse and possesses the commercial depth required to move our industry forward.

Last year, over 19,000 of you showed up and proved that the creative heart of Malaysia is beating louder than ever. This year, we’re turning up the volume for KLIF 2026!
We’re not just coming back, we’re bringing in more international guests to showcase styles and perspectives that have never been seen on our shores to experience a different side of art that bridges the gap between the local industry and the global stage.

On 9th Jan 2026, KLIF hosted the first Southeast Asia Illustration Council meetup in Kuala Lumpur. This reflection captures what six countries shared about the realities, pressures, and possibilities shaping illustration across our region.

We are officially looking for talented illustrators and artists to join the Kuala Lumpur Illustration Fair (KLIF) 2026.

KLIF is a creative platform in Asia to showcase your work, launch new series, run workshops, and connect directly with over 19,000 visitors (based on last year’s attendance!).
If you make great art, we want to see it.

🗓️ Submission Deadline:
31st December 2025

Your submissions will be reviewed by a professional Selection Committee, a panel of experts including leaders from Education & Academic, Creative Agency & Advertising, Experimental & Installation Art.

For returning artist, bring the new heat! We encourage showcasing new work to keep the fair fresh and exciting for our audience.
