At Dasein Academy of Art’s Certificate of Visual Communication programme, we had the privilege of engaging with The Artisans Haven, sharing our commitment to uplifting women and our strong belief in using education as a tool to create meaningful impact in society.

Our programme has always been dedicated to guiding students beyond the classroom—encouraging them to use their creativity to connect with communities and make a real difference. Through initiatives like these, our students gain the opportunity to be part of something bigger by contributing back to society.

With a strong emphasis on responsibility and purpose, this initiative reflects our commitment to nurturing not only skilled creatives but also individuals who care deeply about the people and communities around them.

A meaningful field trip to the Duke Museum of Picture Book Art 📚✨

Our students explored the rich history of picture books while discovering the ABCs of the Duke Museum of Picture Book Art. It was inspiring to see how storytelling and illustration come together to shape ideas and imagination.

Thank you to the founder, Ms. Linda for hosting us and preparing such an enriching workshop. The students then activated their creativity by designing their own meaningful alphabet artworks.

Learning beyond the classroom is always the most memorable.

Official launch of Dasein Academy of Art’s collaboration with The Artisans Haven and Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd for the Discover Malaysia campaign.

In conjunction with the opening of Merdeka 118 and Visit Malaysia Year 2026, our students will step into meaningful, real-world cultural collaborations in support of local artisans and women empowerment.

Celebrating Chinese New Year in Dasein hits differently when tradition meets creativity. 🧧✨

This year, we reinterpreted the festive spirit through calligraphy and paper-cutting — turning red paper into stories, ink into blessings, and classrooms into living cultural spaces. From writing greetings to crafting intricate paper motifs, every stroke and cut carried heritage into the present moment.

It’s more than decoration — it’s dialogue. Between past and future. Between culture and contemporary expression. Between tradition and design thinking.

So grateful to see Daseinians explore identity, symbolism, and artistry in such hands-on ways. Here’s to keeping traditions alive — not by repeating them, but by reimagining them.

Proud moment for our Certificate in Visual Communication programme! 🌟

It was our very first time participating in the Student Kancils Awards — competing alongside diploma and degree students — so we honestly didn’t expect to walk away with a win. When our name appeared on the screen, our hearts definitely skipped a beat! This bold baby step we took has truly paid off.

And together as Dasein, we celebrated even more achievements this year:

• 11 Silver
• 27 Bronze
• 38 Merit

We are grateful to our dedicated lecturers and to the college for creating an environment where we can learn, grow, and dream bigger together. Congratulations to all the winners!

To our students: whether you won or not, we are incredibly proud of you. Keep cheering one another on, stay curious, and continue giving your best. When you keep pushing forward, opportunities will find you. We hope this experience has sparked new inspiration and strengthened your passion as creatives.

From curious brushstrokes to imaginative cut-outs, each artwork celebrates creativity, storytelling, and the joy of handmade art.

✨ What an unforgettable day! Our “Childhood” exhibition came to life, filled with creativity, laughter, and nostalgia. Visitors explored handmade picture books, typography posters, paintings, and interactive installations that brought back fond memories of growing up.
