The ceremony was attended by our guests of honour, YAM Tunku Naqiuyuddin Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Jaafar, General Secretary Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Vice General Secretary Ministry of Tourism and Culture Pn Azlina binti Abdul Hamid, President of RCBA Mr Yap, international delegates from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Scotland, local universities and RCBA members.

Ice Age Alive menawarkan pelbagai aktiviti serta informasi zaman ais batu untuk seisi keluarga. Ibu bapa dapat meluangkan masa berkualiti bersama keluarga sambil mengembangkan lagi minda anak-anak mengenai megafauna yang terdapat di sini

Selain daripada Photo Booth dan Sand Art, disini juga terdapat aktiviti baru iaitu Snow Pool di mana kanak-kanak dapat memupuk kreativiti mereka serta belajar cara untuk bergaul dengan orang di sekeliling. Snow Pool terletak berhampiran dengan Skating Ring, Dodo Bird dan Jumping Castle.

Come and unleash your child's creativity with us in our new Snow Pool and build your own snow castle!

The Snow Pool is for kids only so adults can unwind and relax while the kids play. It is located near the Skating Ring, Dodo Bird and Jumping Castle for children to have plenty of fun and amusement while learning on the megafauna during the Pleistocene period. The Snow Pool is also a good place for them to make new friends and create new experience and memory.

He was pretty scared at first but a moment later, he kept calling Rexy over 'meh meh meh!'. Malu-malu kucing pulak Dayyan 😅. Thanks .hanifah for dropping by, glad your family had a great and fun day.

Jangan lepaskan peluang untuk menyaksikan megafauna zaman Pleistosene dimana anda dapat bertemu haiwan T-Rex, gajah mamot, burung dodo dan lain-lain haiwan yang ‘dihidupkan’ kembali melalui penggunaan teknologi animatronik.

Anda juga boleh menambah pengetahuan berkaitan zaman tersebut melalui ruang informasi di pameran ini. Ibu bapa, kanak-kanak dan para pelajar wajar mengambil kesempatan ini untuk menerokai zaman silam.

Pameran Ice Age Alive bertempat di Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC), Jalan Ampang bermula pads Ahad, 13 Mei 2018 selama 6 bulan, dari pukul 10:00 pagi hingga 7:00 malam. Pameran ditutup pada setiap Isnin.

Did you know, the largest marsupial ever existed is named ? meaning "two forward teeth". They were about about 3 metres long, standing 2 metres tall and weighing about 2,790 kg. They lived across mainland Australia between 1.6 million years ago until about 46,000 years ago. They roamed and inhabited open forest, woodlands, and grasslands, possibly staying close to water, and eating leaves, shrubs, and some grasses. Intrigued?

Ice Age Alive Fun Facts: Baluchitherium is also known as Paraceratherium and Indricotherium; a group of long-limbed, hornless rhinoceroses herbivore that lived in the forests of central Asia between 34 and 23 million years ago, it weighed as much as three or four adult African elephants, and is known as the largest living land mammals.

The reasons they became extinct is due to the thermoregulation process; massive mammals size makes it hard to dissipating body heat in warm climates causing it to overheat. Other reasons include climate change, low reproduction rate, and invasion by gomphothere proboscideans from Africa in the late Oligocene.
