Hello art lovers!!!
We are so happy to announce that our first sculpture workshop in Lok Yuk Likas had a great success!
First gratitude:
Big gratitude to the principal Ms. Puan Norah Marcus and art teacher Walter Misir for inviting us in their honored school!
Thanks to Oliver Galasius CEO Tenco Urban Arts Management for organizing this beautiful event!
Thanks to JCI Penampang and organizing chairman Ventsislav Petrov for co-organizing this event!
Thanks to Japson Wong for the awesome workshop and the knowledge he shared with the students.
And finally - thanks to all awesome talented students!!!
The summary:
The event started with a presentation of our big art project International Sculpture Experience Sabah. Ventsislav Petrov described in details the structure of the project with attention to the upcoming sculpture workshops in November. The students were introduced to the details of the project and were invited as potential students for the event in November.
It continued with a lecture about recycling problems in Sabah by Japson Wong. Japson did a very entertaining educational talk where he talked about solutions in the recycling policy of the state. He also presented his upcycle art to the students which inspired them for the following workshop.
The event continued with the Upcycle workshop by Japson Wong. The students were separated in 4 groups and each group received a piece of the sculpture "The running Cheetah", as the material used was polycarbonate.
The students had to connect the different pieces and eventually build the whole sculpture which was 3 ft long!
After the successful workshop, the entertainment part began. Led by our MC Alex Voo, the program contained a color "war" where all who attended were separated in two "armies" and were given organic Holi color powder to throw at others. After the fun color "war", as a grand finale of our event, the students and organizers had to leave their hand prints using acrylic paint, on a big canvas provided by Japson Wong.
The official media of the event was Breeze magazine - big thanks to Dinoza Mahruf and team for attending this awesome activity!
See you soon on our next workshops!
Stay tuned for more information in our page and share!!!
